4 New Glimmer Foiled Cards

Hey card making friends and welcome back. Today I have 4 New Glimmer Foiled Cards for you created with a new glimmer die from Spellbinders. The Autumn Leaf Border Plate is part of the NEW Halloween & Fall Collection over at Spellbinders and it’s a beauty.

It glimmer foils this beautiful long fabulous strip of leaves. Above, I used the Copper Glimmer foil over some watercolor I created with Gansai Tambi paints. I added some splatter and a sentiment from the For You Stylish Script that came out a few months back.

TIP – do the water coloring first and let it dry before you foil. Doing it afterwards, the watercolor sits on top of the foil and dulls it out.

For the second card, I did the same watercolor, this time down the size of the card and then glimmer foiled the border, again in Copper.

I also did the background splatter before the foiling and at the end, embellished the cards with a few pink jewels from the Pinkfresh Essential Jewels.

This foiled image is fabulous on it’s own on a piece of Teal card as well. Again foiled in copper, although the morning light when I took these photos is turning it a bit gold.

Finally, you can also step it up just a bit by using iridescent paints to color in the leaves. I used Gansai Tambi White, copper and gold on this card. Both teal cards are embellished with copper sequins.

You do need the Glimmer Foil Machine to use these plates.

Card Recipe:

All the card fronts are 4 x 5-1/4. The first two are from Canson 140# Watercolor paper, the second two, Simon Says Stamp Teal card stock.
All card bases are Neenah Solar White 110# 4-1/4 x 11, scored and folded at 5-1/2
