Sandi MacIver – Stampin With Sandi – Bird Banter Fun
How are you today? Did you survive another Monday? – I did – just barely…..LOL…it was one of those techie malfunction days, I chilled out with a little colouring and Bird Banter Fun.
This stamp set just makes me smile – ok, it’s probably the word banter ( I love sarcasm- haha), and I have always wanted a Parrot, have you? Besides being easy, cute and fun it’s gender and age neutral. Hence, I can stock pile birthday cards and use them all year long.
I created a super easy 10 minute or less card and then one with a bit more detail
How to create the Bird Banter Fun Cards:
I started by stamping the images in Archival Basic Black Ink onto a piece of Whisper White and coloured them all with my watercolor pencils and blender pen.
It’s fun to do it this way, you can spend an entire evening colouring /cutting and have lots of pieces for future cards.
The die cut branches are from the Sweet Cake Framelits and for the black card, I thought they coordinated perfectly with the Fresh Florals Designer Paper in the background.
I White Heat embossed the sentiment onto the card front piece before putting that card together.
For the Black Bird Banter Fun Card
- Card Base: Basic Black 4-1/4 x 11, score and fold at 5-1/2
- Mat: Lemon Lime Twist 4 x 5-1/4
- Designer paper: Fresh Florals 3-7/8 x 5-1/8
- Card Front: Basic Black 2-7/8 x 4-1/8
- Mat: lemon Lime Twist 3 x 4-1/4
For the white card, I just stamped the image directly onto the 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White card base and heat set it (this ink is slow drying) before decorating it with the little bits.
The little hearts are left overs from this card.
Thanks so much for stopping to visit with me today. Wishing you Happy Stamping and I would love to hear from you, just use the comment button at the end of this post
