It’s Friday, so let’s have a drink!, haha, how about a Blended Stencil Margarita!. Picket Fence Studios new release includes two new stencil sets that include the positive and the negative pieces so that you can stencil, then mask and add another stencil over it to create a background, so that’s exactly what I did.
Steps for the Blended Stencil Margarita Card:
Start by blending Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Inks through the Blended Stencil Margarita outline stencil.
Heat set it to dry it. Cover it with the cut out to protect it.
Place the Watercolor Brush Strokes stencil over the piece and use the blending brushes to add Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink across to create the background.
Next I removed the cut out piece and place the stencil back over the Margarita. Add a light layer of the stripes to the glass so it looks like you are looking through it.
For the sentiment:
Add the Fruit:
The other Blending Stencil Tropical Drinks, as fruit, so I used just that portion of the stencil to create the fruit. Cut it out and added it to the top of my drink.
Finally, attach the 4 x 5-1/4 card front to a black A2 top folding card base and attach the sentiment with foam squares.
Fast easy and fun, perfect for a birthday card
