Sandi MacIver – Stampin With Sandi – Count My Blessings in Blue and Green.
Hi stamping friends, hope you had a great long weekend. I snuck in a little time to stamp and color and created this card to share with you using the Stampin Up Count My Blessings in blue and green.
The Count My Blessings stamp set is new in the Holiday Catalog on page 50. It has beautifully artful images to stamp and colour and a couple of sentiments in an elegant flowing font.
It’s also available in wood or clear mount – links below for you.
For the Count My Blessings in Blue and Green card share, I stamped the images first in Archival Basic Black. This ink takes a bit to dry, I heat set mine so I don’t smear the images.
Next, I used my Stampin Up Watercolor pencils adding layers of colour. I started with the Bermuda Bay, and then added shadows with Pacific Point. Once I had completed the leaves in the Old Olive, I pulled that colour up in to the base of the flower as well.
I didn’t blend my pencils, but you certainly could if you wished, the blender pen would be the perfect application here.
To fill in any gaps in your design, the little leaf stamp is perfect!
Then I stamped my sentiment on a piece of Whisper White before cutting it out with the Oval Stitched Shapes Framelits and matted it with Basic Black cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits
Before attaching my sentiment piece with Dimensionals, I tied a 15″ piece of the beautiful Pool Party 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon around the bottom of the card – it adds the perfect amount of bling!
