Sandi MacIver – Stampin with Sandi – Sandi MacIver – Dashing Deer in Merry Merlot
Hi stamping friends, my card share today is Dashing Deer in Merry Merlot.
Gosh, sounds like I’m sauteing that little guy in a bin of wine, haha. Actually, it’s my new favourite Colour Combo for this Holiday Season Gold Foil and Merry Merlot.
It’s also Blog Hop Thursday and we have a Sketch Challenge this week:
And it’s part of my Christmas Card Countdown.
I did sneak in the Tin Tile Embossing Folder one more time and I even burnished it a little with my Vegas Gold Shimmer Paint.
Emboss your card front with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder. Then, shake the shimmer paint. Take the lid off and stick your finger in the tiny bit of paint on the top of the bottle (don’t use the lid, it’s too much paint). Then, gently rub the paint over the embossing – it’s stunning.
I used a couple of the Coordinating dies to embellish the card, the floral over the sentiment, the deer, and a little flower at the neck of the deer. Then I coloured two small rhinestones with my Daffodil Delight Stampin Blends Marker and added them to the center of each flower.
Add a touch of class: I have a strip of the Merry Merlot & Copper Ribbon across the top. Rich and understated, it’s the perfect final touch.
The Sentiment for today’s card came from the Peaceful Noel Stamp Set and I thought it was perfect Gold Embossed onto a short banner of Merlot.

Now it’s time to hop over and see what my friend Eva has for us today. She is so creative, it will be amazing, (I have not peeked yet, haha). You can click on the Next button, or on her name below to visit her blog:
