Hello Hello my card making friends and welcome back. Today I’m very excited to be participating in the Day 2, Simon Says Stamp Dear Friend Blog Hop and Give Away. This new release is fabulous as usual with a little something for everyone and you can check out the entire release here.
Simon is giving away a $25. gift card at each stop along the hop from the blog comments left so be sure to leave a comment at each stop. Winners will be chosen on May 24th, 2023 and posted on the Simon Says Stamp BLOG.
PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.
I had so much fun playing with the Caring Thoughts stamp and die set that I have made 3 more cards for you. The third one has another new product from this release, the Hey Girl sentiment die, which I really like.
Let’s jump into how to create the cards shall we.
Dear Friend Blog Hop and Give Away Card #1
Start by using the Misti and SSS Intense Black Ink (copic Friendly), to stamp the image onto Hammermill white cardstock.
Then, color the image with copic markers and cut out with the coordinating die.
Next, using blending brushes, blend Pawsitivily Saturated Inks in Sprout and Seafoam to create the background.
Finally, place the card front back into the Misti to stamp the sentiment in black and then use foam squares to add the little bunny.
Embellish with the Simon Says Stamp April Showers Sequin Mix.
Copics Used: Bunny: T0, T1, T2, T3, T5, Cheeks: R20, R21, Daffodil: Y15, Y38, Butterfly: BG11, BG13, BG49
Dear Friend Blog Hop and Give Away Card #2
The steps for card 2 are basically the same as above except for the background.
To create the rectangle ink blended background I used the Simon Says Stamp A2 Masks to mask off the space before Ink Blending.
Copics Used: Dragon: YG03, YG17, V12, V15, Y08, and blender to make the dots. Caterpillar: same greens plus BG11, BG13
Flower: RV55, RV17, RV19, flower center: Y15, Y17, Y38, E34 Leaves: BG11, BG13, BG49
Finally, embellish with the new Simon Says Stamp Peony Sequin Mix
Card #3
Stamp the little mouse and color with copic markers before cutting out with the coordinating dies.
Copics Used: Mouse: E40, E41, E43, E44, Rose: R20, R21, R35, Leaves: YG03, YG17, Ears and Cheeks: R20
Next, cut a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ card front in a peach color that matches the rose, place it inside the Pepperberry Bundles Embossing Folder and run through the die cutting machine
Then, attach it to a top folding A2 sized card base.
Die cut the Hey Girl sentiment die twice in white cardstock, stacking them together and then attaching to the center of the card front.
Finally, use foam squares to attach the little bunny to the bottom right corner
Now it’s time to join the hop. Next on the list is Barb and if you get lost along the way, here is the entire list of participants.
