Sandi MacIver Stampin With Sandi – Ink and Paper Artist – Do you P.P.?
Hi stamping friends and happy Monday to you. Over the weekend I did a much needed clean up in my stamping room, and finished a few projects, one of them being my November Paper Pumpkin Kit.
It came in this adorable plaid box, and of course I opened it instantly and created the original two cards as per the instructions.
I loved the plaid card front with the gold lines, the pre-cut pine boughs, the woodgrain sticker background, the pre-cut vellum circle and the beautiful Gold Embossed tag. I stamped the tag with the exclusive stamp set that came with the kit, used the Cherry Cobbler Twine that was also included to wrap around and create the bow, and finished it with the Gold Sequins, that were also included.
The Second card also had a beautiful plaid background with gold lines, in a lighter colour, a ton of pre-cut pine boughs, that I just had to push out of the paper, a different shape of a gold embossed tag, and more Cherry Cobbler Twine.
The kit included supplies to create 10 cards in total, with extra pieces allowing for a few boo boos, haha…so I decided to play a little.
For this one, I added the vintage truck from Farmhouse Christmas to the center, a couple of Gold Snowflakes die cut with the Snowfall Thinlits (part of the November Special), and a die cut “Merry” – from the Merry Christmas Thinlits – NOTE – these are on the “almost sold out list”, so if you ned them, order soon.
I loved the pretty wreath card in it’s original form, but I decided to add a couple of Gold Snowflakes, just to take it to WOW, and a few more gold sequins. Snowflakes were cut with the Snowfall Thinlits (November Special), but you could also use the Blizzard Thinlits Die (page 30 of the holiday catalogue).
And for my final Paper Pumpkin Alternate card, I added a Red die cut circle behind the vellum, and a BIG Gold Snowflake to the front, a few extra pine boughs and a smaller gold snowflake peeking out from under the sentiment.
Receiving the “Little Red Box” each month is a total highlight for me….with Everything pre-cut, pre-designed, and everything included except adhesive, I can totally enjoy the creative experience without having to “think about it”, haha, as a card designer, that’s a break for me.
Due to the popularity of these kits and the uptick in subscribers of late, the December kit is sold out. If you would like to receive them, I urge you to sign up on December 11th when subscriptions reopen to new customers to receive the January 2019 kits. A little treat for yourself to look forward to each month.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and thanks so much for stopping in to visit.
