Hi card making friends, today’s post is a Rewind – back to May 22, 2013 for the Stampin Up Fabulous Florets and the Triple Time Technique.
I am closing down my old blog in September, so I thought I would take some of my favorite posts and move them here (most also have videos), so that I could keep them. Sadly, my old blog is badly broken because of a transfer from typepad to wordpress, so this is necessary.
So today’s share is a very fun technique called Triple Time and for this card I also added the “embossed resist” technique. I wanted the white flowers to just sort of peek out and this technique helped to make that happen.
This technique has been around for a very long time, I remember doing it 25 years ago, but it’s always fun when it comes around again, and you can try it with new stamp sets, so I picked my two all time favorites from Stampin Up, SUMMER SILHOUETTES AND FABULOUS FLORETS, then I had to thrown in my NEW favorite sentiment set from the upcoming new Annual Catalog – REALLY GOOD GREETINGS. Then of course I had to sneak in a second technique – STAMPIN RESIST, LOL..so you get a lesson on HEAT EMBOSSING too!..LOL…
UPDATE: and now these stamp sets are also all retired, but grab a new one and give it a try.
I even did a full tutorial for you as well, you can find it here: Fabulous Florets Triple Time Card-S
and here is the video!
