Sandi MacIver – papercraft artist – Hey, whatcha doing’?
Happy Friday my friends. I was again, cruising the “what’s new section” over on the Simon Says Stamp website, and Impression Obsession just had a new release. I fell head over heals for this adorable little “bluebird” stamp and thought he would make an awesome 10 minute or less cards – I was right!.
My internet has been funky all day, so here’s a picture tutorial with the steps instead of a video.
I stamped my new little friend in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured him with my copic markers.
Sorry for the glare Blue: B00, B02, B05, Yellow: Y11, Y15, Y17, green YG03.
I stamped him again on my Inkadinkado stamping mask paper and cut him out. Cut half of the outline off too. TIP – you can reuse these about 10 times, so save the backing.
I uncovered him, rubbed the ink dry with a tissue and added a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp – Messages for Everyday Stamp Set

LOVE this set of sentiment stamps, it’s my new “go to” set – with 32 stamps it covers about everything and I think there are three different sets to choose from. Great to have when you play with these little stamps that don’t come with a sentiment.

Finally I embellished him just a tad, with Hero Arts Pearls and Gems in green and blue.
