Sandi MacIver – Stampin With Sandi – Ink and Paper Artist – More Buffalo Check Christmas Cards
Hey, welcome back, I’m sneaking in these last two cards I created with the Buffalo Check Stamp, and quite frankly I LOVE Them , haha, especially the black and white one.
I can also tell you, that even though this Showcase of products is no longer available (after today), I will be keeping mine to use over and over. I love the dies, so many different sizes of snowflakes, the stamp sets are creative and beautiful with awesome fonts in the sentiments and artful background stamps I can use with my Stamparatus….LOVE THEM>
I’m was back to playing with my Buffalo Check stamp (doesn’t it make FABULOUS backgrounds)….I refrained from adding a red line in this black and white one as I wanted my “MERRY” to pop right off the card and by using a skinny mat, it pulls it all together.
Step by Step on how I created the “More Buffalo Check Christmas Cards:
- I started by using my Stamparatus to stamp the check in black (it takes a couple of stampings to get a solid image). Cut it to 3-1/2 x 4-3/4.
- This is matted to a piece of real red, 3-5/8 x 4-7/8 and then to a Thick Whisper White card base 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2
- Next I die cut the large snowflake from the Snowfall Thinlits in white, the “MERRY” from Merry Christmas in Real Red and the Gold stem from Frosted Bouquet dies/thinlits.
- I White embossed the word “Christmas” onto a scrap of basic black to complete the contrast for my sentiment.
- Attach the large snowflake to the center of the card with 3 glue dots
- Use Multipurpose glue to attach the word Merry, then glue dots to attach “Christmas”
- More Multipurpose glue on the gold stem, and tuck it under the black sentiment.
- Embellish with a few clear rhinestones.
More Buffalo Check Christmas Cards – Red Card.
- Instructions and measurements are the same as the white card except I used a White Gel Pen to add lines to the buffalo check
- Next I white heat embossed a few of the baby snowflakes in some of the black square for some “background noise”
- The gold for this card, is the flower die cut between the two white snowflakes
- The sentiment is actually from this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit, but you could easy recreate it with the Merry Christmas to All Stamp Set.
