HI stamping friends and welcome back. Today I’m sharing the first three of six cards I created with the My Favorite Things Christmas Selfies stamp set. Over the weekend I was catching up on The Daily Marker 30 day color challenge and I posted this pic on my business facebook page , and my Instagram Page
I recently got this adorable stamp set to color for my holiday cards, so I thought I better dive in haha, plus it caught me up for 6 days….
There is also a matching Polaroid Shaker Frame die that I would highly recommend getting at the same time, as I had to create my selfies frames with my stitched square dies, and they were not quite the exact size.
There are 6 selfie images in this set along with a lovely selection of sentiments. Today I’m sharing the first three cards and my next post will have the other three.
They were all colored with copics (listed below). I used the same colors on each card with the same backgrounds. When I got to the card bases, I also used just three colors and used the bits and pieces cut off to create the embellishments for the cards.
I have white card bases on them all and just cut a front panel 4-1/4 x 5-1/2. I find this a great way to conserve my colored card stock and I always have a white card on the inside to write on.
You just know these two are going to get into trouble right? For this background of this card I white heat embossed one of the sentiments repeatedly across the card front. If you are mass producing cards, I wouldn’t recommend this background, try finding some patterned paper for that step as it was a bit time consuming.
The snowflakes are another My Favorite Things die set, Layered Snowflakes and perfect for using up bits and pieces of the left over card stock.
These adorable snowmen are so fun, and super quick to color because of all the white haha. So bright cheery scarves for this trio. Love the little dude with his tongue out, you know he’s your friend who will lick the metal flagpole on a cold day right? haha
I hate to pick favorites, but, this polar bear is. LOVE him, and again, super easy to color. Adding left over strips of card stock behind him adds a pop of color and helps to put the colors from my art piece.
To create the snow for all the cards, I used a white gel pen over the images once I was finished coloring them all.
