My TOP 20 Favorite Distress Oxide Ink Blending Combos
Having played with ink combos for Distress Oxide Inks for some time now, I have some favorite color combos. I was looking for a way to catalogue them to have them handy and I came up with this: My Top 20 Favorite Distress Oxide Ink Blending Combos PDF File.
Each page is divided up into 8 sections each 3″ x 4″ (approx). You simply print these off on your favorite card stock, cut them apart and then ink blend the colors listed on the card.
Additionally, I have provided extra blank pages so you can come up with your own color combos and add them to your collection for future reference.
PRO TIPS – how to set up your Album
I place Post it Note tape over the words on the card so I don’t get ink on it. Do my ink blending, let it dry, peal off the Post It Note Tape and slide it into the sleeve.
Alternatively, you could ink the entire card and use a brother tag maker to add the names to the bottom.
The samples show above are light enough you can see the print through the colors.
THE BEST CARDSTOCK FOR DISTRESS OXIDE INK BLENDING:
I have found the best results for ink blending is Hammermill White Cardstock. I use this card stock for card bases, ink blending, copic coloring and card fronts – basically everything!
Where to get your Album supplies:
These page protects have four pockets measuring 3″ x 4″ – and my Ink blending cards fit perfectly into them. You can even slide two into each pocket for pretty color combos on both sides as you flip through your album.
They are a great price point, and don’t forget to check my Paper Crafting Sales PAGE for coupons before you sign out as Scrapbook.com often gives away freebies with an order.
The 6 x 8 Two Ring albums come in a variety of colors and styles. They are strong and well made. I use the black ones as my highlight color in my studio is teal and a teal color was not available when I set up my albums.
I get my Hammermill White Cardstock from Simon Says Stamp. It comes in 25 sheet packs. It’s extremely white cardstock which I love.
