New Video Pinkfresh Lemon Lush and Zig Markers

Hello cardmaking friends and welcome back.  Today I’m  sharing a New Video Pinkfresh Lemon Lush and Zig Markers along with two cards I created with them.

I ordered this lovely Lemon Lush background stamp the instant I saw it as I knew it was going to provide hours of coloring fun.  Today I’m sharing the first set of cards I created using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and I share a couple of different ways I like to color with them.  You could also use your Arteza Real Brush Pens as well.

Pinkfresh Lemon Lush and Zig Markers:

The stamp is a 6 x 6 red rubber background stamp and is foam mounted.

In the past, stamping with these large stamps was difficult.  It was hard to get a great impression as the center always poops out on you.

The Solution – Use your Misti Stamping tool.  The Misti is MAGIC.  It provides even distribution of weight allowing for a solid image across any size of stamped surface.

In my video below I show you how I heat embossed the card on the left for coloring and then stamped the background for the card on the right with Gina k Amalgam Black ink.

I get a perfect stamped image both times using the MISTI.

Coloring the image is a blast, and once you are finished, you can cut it down and created two A2 sized cards with it.  The above with the fully colored image.

The strip remaining was used on the second card to create the “Spotlight” technique.

For both cards I used the Pink Fresh Classic Words Die Set.  What I like about this set:  A great selection of sentiments, there is a shadow die for each one so you can use them together or separately

I share start to finish instructions for both in the video below.  If you are reading this in an e-mail, you may need to VISIT MY BLOG to view the video, or watch it in HD over on my YouTUBE CHANNEL.

A Note about Paper used in today’s Video:

Strathmore Bristol Vellum Surface paper was used in today’s projects.  It has a nice smooth finish allowing for detailed stamped images.  It accepts the watercolor ink well and blends well without leaving big BLOBS, which you will find if you use regular white card stock.  For your best results, use this paper with your clear brush pens.  I have linked to the USA affiliate links at the end of the post.

CANADIAN STAMPERS:

You can order all of your supplies through the links at the end of the post, however, some items are available through AMAZON.ca, saving you the dollar conversion and faster shipping.

  1. what is the difference between the Zig (which I have and the new Arteza ? I just found you and your the 1st one I can understand my watercoloring with. Thanks so much your work is amazing!

    1. Hi Sue. Very little difference, I just did a video about the Arteza ones which you can find here https://youtu.be/1bATUW0x5TU and I do a bit of a comparison at the beginning of the zig, arteza, and altenew water brush pens. In my opinion, the watercolor “moves” a bit better with the zig markers otherwise I don’t have any real complaints about any of them, they all work well. Thanks so much for finding me

  2. I cannot find the name of your die set for the words. I really like that it has a background to the letters. where are they available?

    1. Hi Jacquie, they are linked under the video, they are also in the links at the end of my blog post, with a picture, name and links to three stores you can order them from. They are also named in the PDF download for each card, as well as a image and link to all three stores at the end of the pdf.
