Party Like a Panda

Hi friends and welcome back.  Today I’m sharing a little fun I had with the Simon Says Stamp Party Panda card kit, so it’s a Party Panda Birthday card day!

PS – sorry about this going live the other day partially done…..I was having computer issues and I accidentally activated it instead of updating it…..it was a Monday what can I say, haha.

It's a Party Panda Birthday

I’m also hopping with my stamping buddies for the Creating Kindness Blog Hop and this month our challenge is “coloring”  something I absolutely love to do.

The Party Panda card kit from Simon Say Stamp is sold out, but you can still purchase the stamp set, dies and other items that were in the kit.  I have used the stamp set and the cheery Doodlebug patterned paper for today’s shares.

When you are in a hurry or don’t have a ton of time to create a card, this is the perfect set, because the bears stamp black and white, so NO COLORING required!…Then you just have to color the little extra bits.  Adding some bright and cheery patterned paper really helps to brighten the card too without any additional work.

For my first card, I stamped the panda, gift box and the balloons onto Neenah Solar White 80# cardstock and colored the images with my Copics.  Then I cut them out and set them aside.

Next I used the Rounded Corner Rectangles dies to cut the art piece before stamping the sentiment and using my “life changing brushes” and some Distress Oxide Mowed Lawn ink to add a little grass under his butt!….I layered that to a piece of the adorable patterned paper and then to the card base.

I attached the panda and then hand drew the string for the balloons before attaching them and the parcel, all with foam tape.

The second card started the same, I stamped, colored  and cut out all the image.  This time I decided to use just a small piece of the patterned paper on the bottom of the card and add my little crying panda at the top with his little sentiments and parcels.

I added a strip of Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink and Gina K Designs Key Lime cardstock so those pretty little colored parcels wouldn’t get lost in the dots of the patterned paper, LOL.

Next up on the hop is my very talented friend Cathy Cains and if you get lost along the way, here is a list of the hoppers participating today:
