I was feeling the urge for a little mixed media stamping the day I created these. Resulting of course in very ink fingers, but hey, that’s when you know you are having fun right? Below each image, I give a brief description of what I used to create the cards. All three cards are super easy to create so jump in and give them a try.
Starting Off we have some major ink spraying using Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Salvaged Patina, Speckled Egg and Bundled Sage.
Simon Says Stamp Anemone Cluster Card #1:
Starting with a piece of watercolor paper 4-1/4 x 5-1/2, spritz it with water all over and then spritz with all three distress oxide colors: Salvaged Patina, Speckled Egg, and Bundled Sage. NOTE, I spritzed a few times until I got the shades I wanted, and heat set between each spritzing session.
Next, run the piece through the die cutting machine inside the Anemone Cluster Embossing Folder. Run a second piece of watercolor paper through as well to cut out the flowers.
Then, use a White Pigment Ink pad and run it lightly over the embossed areas to highlight them slightly.
Finally, cut out the flowers and spritz them as well and let dry.
Next, spritz the flowers with the Antique Bronze Distress Mica Spray. While the flowers are drying, take the spray lid out of the bottle and use the clear hose inside to splatter the front of the card.
Then, using bronze embossing powder, stamp and heat emboss the sentiment onto a piece of vellum and cut out with the coordinating die.
Simon Says Stamp Anemone Cluster Card #2
Start by running a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ piece of Hammermill cardstock through the die cutting machine inside the embossing folder (you need two).
Next, using small blending brushes, ink blend the background with Distress Oxide Inks in: Peacock Feathers, Mowed Lawn and Hickory Smoke.
Then, cut out the 3 flowers and use Wilted Violet and Seedless Preserves ink to ink them up with Mustard Seed for the centers.
Finally, attach the card front to a A2 sized white card base, then attach the flowers. Splatter with water first, then white acrylic paint.
Die cut the hello sentiment 3 times, glue them together before inking them with Peacock Feathers.
Finally, glue the sentiment to the bottom center of the card and embellish with Blue Lagoon Sequins
Simon Says Stamp Anemone Cluster Card #3
First, the steps are the same as in #2 above with different inks: Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Prize Ribbon.
Next, flowers are embossed, die cut and colored with Peacock Feathers and Prize Ribbon with Mustard Seed for the centers.
Then, after splattering the background with white paint, use the Old Letter 1878 background stamp and the same distress ink. Ink the stamp, fold it like a taco, and stamp randomly across the background.
Finally, use small blending brushes to color the flowers and add them.
Next, die cut the sentiment 3 times, glue them together and ink with Peacock Feathers before attaching to the bottom center of the card.
Finally, add a sentiment from the Reverse Birthday Celebration cards and embellish with Blue Lagoon Sequins.
