Hi card making friends and welcome to Simon Says Stamp DieCember and the new release of all these fabulous dies, my goodness. I have a few different projects to share with you today then I’ll be back on the 3rd for the DieCember BLOG HOP where you will see all kinds of inspiration. DieCember is an annual event with Simon and I love all the new die releases each December. There are so many to choose from over a variety of different themes, so basically something for everyone. I know I have already made my first purchase, LOL I had to put myself on a budget.
I decided to do something a little different today and I used a couple of the new dies to decorate some Holiday Parcels I needed to wrap. You could of course scale down each of these ideas and make cards and/or scrapbook pages as well.

The two new dies I used for today’s project are the Snowflake Curl die, and the Winsome Branch. Both were cut numerous times and overlaid to create the parcel decorations.
Simon Says Stamp DieCember Project #1
Start by wrapping the gift in Black Kraft Paper. (purchased on Amazon). Then use black and white Cotton Twine to wrap the parcel. ( I doubled the twine).
Next, cut out the Winsome branch 9 times from green cardstock. Lay on your work surface and glue them together in the shape of a wreath.
Then transfer the wreath to the parcel and glue it down in numerous places.
Finally, create gift tags with circle dies, gold emboss a sentiment on them with the Christmas Blessing Stamp Set and tie on.
Embellish with some red berries (from my stash).
Simon Says Stamp DieCember Project #2
Start by again wrapping the gift in the black Kraft Paper and wrapping it with red and white twine.
Next, cut the Snowflake Curl 4 times and overlap it to create a wreath. When dry, transfer it to the front of the parcel and glue down
Then, Die cut the Winsome Branch once from green cardstock and attach over the snowflakes.
Finally, create gift tags with the circle dies, embellished with a holiday sentiment and tie on.
Pro-TIP – I thought about adding some silver gems to this one, they would be pretty in the center of the snowflakes.
Simon Says Stamp DieCember Project #3
Same as above, this time, die cutting 3 Winsome Branch die cuts from green cardstock. Overlapping and gluing to the parcel.
Next, create a smaller tag again using the circle dies
Finally, add some red Berries.
These look absolutely beautiful under our tree and I’m looking forward to doing more wrapping very soon, even if I have to wrap a few of my own gifts, LOL.

Wow! The dies are beautiful but what really steps them up is how you overlaid them and then added them onto black paper. They really pop and have such impact and drama. Fabulous!
Thanks Lisa, it was really fun to try something other than a card
