Hi card making friends and welcome back. Today I’m sharing two cards created with the Simon Says Stamp Forever Yours Stamp and Die set. The cards are a little bit different today.
Usually I’m very controlled with my coloring/die cutting etc. HOWEVER, last week when I had my little creative mess of Lindy’s Magicals out on my work table. My Simon parcel arrived with new products from the HUGS release. In it, was the BEAUTIFUL rose stamp set called FOREVER YOURS. I decided to go wild. So, I heat embossed the two larger images onto some watercolor paper, and LOOK WHAT HAPPENED.

OMGosh, I had so much fun with these. I ran out of time so I only made 2, but goodness they were fun, and absolutely NO ART EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!. That is what is so amazing about these Lindy’s Magical Powders. They are truly magical.
The colors are part of their challenge for this month, so I used: Tibetan Poppy Teal, Sweet Violet Purple and Lucky Shamrock Green.
PRO-TIP – to control the powders (yeah, you can’t really, but we keep trying). I heat embossed the stamped images in black. This creates little pools for the color to collect in.
You can wet the paper and use the powder to paint inside each pool, but it’s way more fun to spritz the entire thing, drop in the powders and watch the magic happen, which is what I did.

How to create Simon Says Stamp Forever Yours Card #1
Products Used:
- Lindy’s Magicals: Tibetan Poppy Teal, Sweet Violet Purple and Lucky Shamrock Green
- Simon Says Stamp Forever Yours Stamp and Die set
- Nested Hearts Die Set from Simon Says Stamp
- Simon Says Stamp Love You Greetings Stamp and Die Set
- Black Embossing Powder – Gold Embossing Powder
- Mirror Ball Card stock (this stuff is so cool)
- Bazzill 305046 Peacock Card stock
- Gansai Tambi Gem water color pigment
Start by stamping the image in VersaMark Ink onto a 4 x 4 piece of watercolor paper. Cover with black embossing powder, shake off the excess and heat set.
Next, place the piece on a protected surface and spritz with a spray bottle.
Then, using different paint brushes for each pot of color, pick up small amounts, and drop into the area you want. ie: green for green leaves. The color will explode and spread. If you want it to spread more – spritz it. If you have a big lump of powder because your paper wasn’t wet enough – spritz it, or pick it up with the paint brush and move it to a wet area. There are no rules, just play around with it.
Finally, once the art piece is dry, splatter it with gold paint from the Gansai Tambi Gem Colors. Let it dry again and then cut it out. I fussy cut mine right to the lines, and then used a black Tombow Marker to covered the edges black.
Card Layers:
- Base: Hammermill White: 4-1/2 x 9″ score and fold at 4-1/2″
- Background: Bazzill 305046 Peacock: 4″ x 4″ – splattered with gold paint from Gansai Tambi Gem Colors
- Heart: Mirror Ball Cardstock: 3-1/2 x 3-1/2, die cut with Simon Says Stamp Nested Hearts
- Rose: Watercolor paper: 4 x 4
- Sentiments: Both sentiments are gold heat embossed using the Love You Greetings stamp set.
