Hi cardmaking friends and welcome back. Today I have two Simon Says Stamp Geo Leaf Background Cards to share with two totally different looks. I think this Geo Leaf Background stamp is my absolute favorite of this new Beautiful Days Release because it’s so versatile. It’s also 6 x 6 so you have lots of real estate to play on, LOL.
It’s also day two of the Simon Says Stamp Blog Hop – you can start the hop over on the Simon Blog and check out all the amazing inspiration. Don’t forget to leave comments as you hop along for a chance to win a $25. gift card.

Simon Says Stamp Geo Leaf Background Card 1
Place the stamp face up in the door of the Misti and use ink daubers to add a rainbow of ink to the stamp.
Ink Used: Simon Says Stamp Cubes: Jelly bean, Ocean, Rose, Hot Lips and Citrine
Next, stamp the image onto a piece of 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ white hammermill cardstock. repeat as necessary until you get good coverage.
Then, cut down the piece to 4 x 5-1/4, mount to a black card front and then to a white A2 sized card base.
Finally, cut out the Wild About You sentiment in black and white and use foam squares to attach to the center of the card.
Add additional strip sentiments from the Reverse Love Sentiment Strips.
Simon Says Stamp Geo Leaf Background Card 1
Stamp the Geo Leaf background stamp in VersaMark Ink onto a piece of watercolor paper. Stamp it a couple of times to get good coverage.
Remove from the Misti, and cover with clear (or white) embossing powder, shake off the excess and heat set.
Next, place the piece onto a protected surface, and spray with water before adding Lindy’s Magical Powders.
Powders used: Rusty Lantern Lime, Ramblin Rose Pink, Lucky Shamrock Green, Tibetan Poppy Teal.
Spritz and move around the color until you have the entire background covered and let it dry.
Then, Cut it to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and mount it to a top folding A2 sized white card base.
Finally, cut the Happy Mother’s Day sentiment and shadow in white cardstock. Using a small blending brush, add a rainbow of colors to the letters.
Inks Used: Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks: Ocean, Seafoam, Celery, Peony and Lilac.
Stack the two pieces together and mount to the card center with foam tape.
Finally, cut out two Etched dragonfly dies, and attach them around the sentiment.
As you can see in the photo, I tried coloring a couple of them also, with the Peony and Lilac inks, but I decided on the white to let the background show up more.
