Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit

Hi cardmaking friends and welcome back. My Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit arrived Friday so I got up early yesterday and got some cards made before spending the day outside building gardens.

I always like to try and use as many products from the kit as I can when making these cards. I like that Simon includes a variety of different products for me to try out and this kit is no exception.

Details of the Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit Cards.

Let’s start with the slimline Card at the top.

After die cutting the card front I used the fabulous stencil in the kit: Build a Rainbow 6 x 9 Stencil and the domed Ink Blending Foam (they rock). This stencil has the long cloud strip at the top – which I used for my background. It’s long enough to go across a Slimline Card.

Next, using the same stencil, create the sun on the left side of the card. It’s a two step stencil, so this takes a few minutes. There is also a two step rainbow which I used on the card underneath and some clouds.

Once all the stenciling is done, use the Rainbow is my Favorite Color 6 x 8 Stamp set to add the sentiment and stamp and cut out a few clouds.

Finally, once the card is all put together, sprinkle on a few sequins from the Simon Says Stamp Rainbow Party Sequins (not included in the kit).

The Stenciled Rainbow Card:

Using the 4 cube Ink Pads included in the kit stencil the rainbow to the center of a 3-3/4 x 5 card front.

Cut a piece of the Doodlebug Custom Rainbow 2021 6 x 6 paper to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 and attach it to the front of a top folding A2 White card base.

Use the Misti to stamp the sentiment on the card front before attaching it to the base with Foam tape.

Stamp and die cut three clouds and attach them with foam tape

Use the Memory Box Fairy Jewels to add one under each rainbow color on the right side above the sentiment.

Finally, the Die Cut Rainbow Card

I’ll apologize right up front for this picture. The die cut rainbow in the center is cut from the beautiful piece of Holographic Rainbow Cardstock included in the kit. It’s a beautiful pink and purple but because it’s holographic, it’s aweful to try and take a picture of…..take my word for it – it’s stunning in real life, LOL.

It’s die cut with the Hello Rainbow Die included in this months kit.

The card layers are the same size as the previous card using the same patterned paper included in the kit.

Also included in the kit is a sticker package called Chasing Rainbows Shape Sprinkles. I used the hearts and cloud from those to embellish the card front and more of the Memory Box Fairy Jewels over the rainbow.

Finally, White heat emboss a sentiment from the Rainbow is My Favorite Color stamp set.

Another fabulous kit and I still have lots of products to play with and try out.
