Hey card making friends and welcome to my second post of the day. Simon Says Stamp Peace On Earth Release went live at midnight last night. My product kit has not arrived yet, seems the postal service wants to play with it first, LOL SO today, I’m sharing all the new products below and I’ll circle back with a bunch of samples once my package arrives. I just don’t want you to miss out on this release.
I’m also sharing my TOP PICKS and why I chose them. You will get an idea of what cards I want to make with them and as soon as my orders get here, I’ll be getting right on that.

Sandi’s Top Picks and Why:
This stamp and die set is so classic and while the sentiments are Christmas, the images are not. This can be used all year around. I know it’s expensive, but I ordered it because I feel I can get maximum usage from it and I’ll be sharing plenty of samples for you. There are already some fabulous samples on the Simon website too.
My second stamp/die choice also includes a stencil. I love this. Blending in the color with one of Simon’s new blending brushes is so quick and easy. This set is perfect for mass producing your holiday cards. You can also make non holiday cards with it as well, adding to the versatility.
Not just for the holidays, this is another all year round die (are you detecting a theme here, haha). Ordering supplies is an investment, so I want to get my money’s worth out of each item. This is stunning. You can use it all, or chop it down and make a wreath, use a couple and have one of your Winter Birds (above) sitting on a few of the branches…..I have endless ideas for this one.
Simon Says Stamp Harmony Snowflakes:
Ok, I heard you groan, more snowflakes!. Yes, more snowflakes….yes, we already have a ton of snowflake dies, but I really like the size of these. The two small ones in particular, are going to look awesome over a water colored background and a beautiful die cut “JOY from matte mirror silver card stock…..just you wait and see.
Two runs through your die cut machine and you have the perfect sentiment and shadow for your holiday cards. Love this, love the font, love the size. It’s perfect for across the center of a wreath, or surrounded by those tiny snowflakes we were groaning about, LOL.
This is my favorite die from this entire collection. Simple, beautiful, and the perfect size for A2 sized cards. Yes, it’s mostly Christmas themed, and I’m giving into that because I love it so, LOL
I love a good background stencil, and here it is. I’m also a sucker for anything leaves as you may have noticed. This one will fit beautifully behind my #2 pick Holiday Sprigs. Stencil it twice in light and dark green from those new Pawsitivily inks, place a big ol Die Cut JOY in the center and you have a stunning holiday card.
This makes the perfect background for so many holiday cards. What I like to call “a little background noise”. You can overlay the “Winter Birds” pieces, Do a water color resist technique by heat embossing it. Or how about White on White with Glimmer Paste over a white cardstock…..yep, I can see that. Yes, this is also Christmas themed, but at the stencil price point – again, I’m ok with that.
Geometric is so in right now, and so fun. The soothing geometric pattern makes it a great background for other more intense images. (Like snowflakes and birds, haha). Distress oxide ink blends, pastes of any kind, I’m thinking the new Pink Prom Night Paper Glitz from Picket Fence Studios is going to look FABULOUS through this. Yep, a pink snowflake card is coming!
This stuff is da bomb. Beautiful and glitzy without the crazy shine. I use this all the time on my cards, it’s the perfect little bit of bling without taking over, know what I mean? You get 10 – 8-1/2 x 11 pieces in each package which is an excellent deal.
Same as above gold. I like to use the silver with my blue and white cards, the gold with reds and pinks…order two packs because you will use em up.
A new set of these comes out every release, that’s just how popular they are. Can you imagine how many stamp sets you would need to own to get this many sentiments? And try getting them for $2.99. LOVE these things. Stick them into your paper trimmer and slice off strips…..then when you need one, cut the strip apart and add a couple of foam squares to the back and you are done. Really speeds up your cardmaking, especially when you are mass producing holiday cards.
So there you go, my top picks and why. As soon as my orders arrive, I’ll be sharing these card ideas with you so you can play along. Below, is the entire list of the new releases, I’m sure there are some there that you will love too.
