Simon Says Stamp Santa’s Helpers

Hi cardmaking friends and welcome back.  Today I have two cards to share with you created with the Simon Says Stamp Santa’s Helpers Card Kit for December 2021.

What an adorable kit this is, full of fabulous patterned paper, an adorable stamp set you won’t want to stop coloring and more fun goodies.

A note:  Sorry I didn’t have yesterday’s YouTube Video linked up properly, I don’t know what happened, but it’s HERE NOW for you to watch.  I need to make a sacrifice to the computer gods, LOL

On to today’s cards.  They are both super clean and simple which we all need right now right?

Simon Says Stamp Santa’s Helper Card #1

This is a super fast and easy card:

Start by laying the Peace, Joy, Hope, Love Stencil over the card front and use a blending brush to add Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.

Remove the stencil, and add a light layer of the same ink to the left side of the card.

Use Foam Squares to add one of the printed images from the kit.

Card #2

Use the Santa’s Helpers stamp set from the kit and stamp the snowman/elf image onto hammermill card stock in copic friendly black ink.

Color the image with Copic Markers:

  • Pinks:  RV34, Rv17, Rv19
  • Greens:  YG03, YG13, YG17
  • Skin:  E000, E00 E11
  • Black:  N1, N3, N5, N8, N10
  • blues:  B0000, B000, B00
  • Brown:  E31, E35
  • Orange:  Y15, Y17, Y38
  • Yellow:  Y00, Y11, Y15

Cut out the image.

Next, cut a piece of the pattern paper to 3-1/2 square.

Add a lime green mat and attach to the card base.

Place the card base back into the Misti and stamp the sentiment in Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink Ink

Finally, Attach the colored image.

Tip – I used a bit of Icicle Stickles around the outside edge of the snowman for a little sparkle.

I’m going to circle back next week when I have a bit more time and have a go at the Decoupage pieces, as I used to absolutely LOVE making those about 25 years ago, LOL., I love how great craft ideas come back around again don’t you?
