And, read to the very bottom as I’m having my own little give away today as well.
Today’s card started out like Yesterday’s Card but I changed it up a bit.
First, I changed the color to Fog, tone on tone stamping with the New Damask Background stamp for the background (isn’t it beautiful – it’s a stash must have for sure).
Second, I grabbed the Leafy Branch die from last month’s release to add a little background noise behind the New Tender Leaves Die cut pieces.
As I said yesterday, there are two die cuts in the Tender Leaves, and I have laid them on the card so they look like one long piece and I like how the solid image contrasts with the outline leaves behind.
How to create the Simon Says Stamp Tender Leaves Die card:
For the background: Stamp the Damask stamp in the same color ink as the card stock. In this case, that is one of my favorites, Simon Says Stamp Fog Ink.
Next, use the A2 Thin Frames dies to cut out the frame and inlay a white one to add some “background noise”.
Die cut the Tender Leaves die and the Leafy Branch die. Attach the Leafy Branch die down the left side of the card using white glue.
Next, add the smaller Tender Leaves die pieces with foam squares for a bit of a 3-d effect.
Cut the Celebrate sentiment twice out of Fog card and once from Mirror Gold. Glue them together and attach near the bottom of the card.
Add a sentiment using the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Strips – Birthday.
Embellish with Simon’s Smooch Sequins

Hi, Sandi – exquisite! You layered all these elements, inc the stamped background, and it does not have a cluttered look at all. I pinned it. Mine get all fussy if I try to do that. I love that background and the leafy dies. The Celebrate is perfect!
