Simon Says Stamp Thoughtful Flowers

Hi crafty friends, today I’m sharing Simon Says Stamp Thoughtful Flowers.  This is a new floral stamp set from the Send Happiness release and it’s beyond stunning.

It contains a beautiful selection of hand drawn floral images to color, some fluttering butterflies and beautiful sentiments fitting almost any occasion.

Sadly, I have a friend going through something no one should have to, she has lost two daughters in the past couple of months.  We don’t live close to each other anymore so this is my way of sending her a HUGE HUG.

I wanted to personalize the card as much as possible and this stamp set just fit the bill.  Like me, she loves to garden.  She also loves purple, so the crocus was perfect.

I have seen many a crocus pop up through the snow and had to withstand the harshest of weather.  They accept it graciously, standing tall and sharing their beautiful color and the hopeful signs of spring.  This is my friend, she has been through so much pain and heartbreak, but she stands tall and smiles her beautiful smile.

Simon Says Stamp Thoughtful Flowers Card Details:

For the background, I chose the Simon Says Stamp Thank you text background stamp because it truly says what she means to me.  Some of the text reads:

  • Thank you for being there when I needed you the most.  She has walked through my cancer journey with me.
  • Thank you for all the kind things you do.  She is a giver, you know that friend who is always there for everyone no matter what.
  • Thanks for being part of my life – she has been, for almost 40 years, a sister from another mother for sure.

I white heat embossed the stamped image onto a piece of Fog card stock and die cut it with the Rounded Corner Rectangles dies

Finally, the pink flowers are to represent brighter days ahead.  Laid on a Distress Oxide Speckled Egg background (for blue skies) and I just love this new color, so I know she will too

I added just a few Simon Says Stamp Spring Green Sequins because we both love bling too.
