Hey crafty friends, welcome back. I have another BLOG HOP for you today. This is Day 2 of the DIECEMBER BLOG HOP and I’m sharing another card created with the Simon Says Stamp Winsome Branch Die, and the new To You My Favorite Stamp Set. There is also a bonus card at the end of the post too using two more new products from the DieCember release.
This hop is full of fabulous inspiration and chances to win some great prizes too. Don’t forget to check out the Simon Says Stamp Blog, under releases, there is a link page where all the designers load their projects and you can load yours too.

I have been having a lot of fun with the new products from DIeCember and in particular the Winsome Branch Die. Then, I decided I needed to make a rainbow thank you card. I mean who doesn’t need a rainbow in their lives right? I colored my die cuts with copic markers, but you could use colored cardstock if you want a quicker version of this card.
How to Create the Simon Says Stamp Winsome Branch Rainbow Card:
Start by creating a card base from Hammermill white cardstock, 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ score and fold at 4-1/4″.
Next, cut a card front 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Place it inside the Dibble Dot Embossing Folder and run through the die cutting machine. Attach to the card front with Tear Tape.
Then, die cut the Winsome Branch 5 times from white hammermill card stock.
Finally, color each branch a rainbow color using copic markers:
COPICS USED: BLUE: BG53, BG45, GREEN: YG03, YG17, YELLOW: Y11, Y15, PINK: RV17, RV34, PURPLE: V12, V15
Simple Coloring: Color the entire image in the light color, then add the shadow down the left side of each leaf.
Then, use Bearly Art glue with the fine tip to attach the branches across the card front in a rainbow.
Finally, white heat emboss a sentiment from the new To You My Favorite stamp set on a scrap of black cardstock. Trim and attach across the front of the card using foam squares.
Adding Texture to Your Card: without a lot of work
Here’s a close up of the card showing the details in the background by using the Dibble Dot Embossing Folder. It’s a repeating circle design, very light and breezy and looks great behind die cut elements. Providing a super fast and easy way to add detail to your card without a lot of work.
How to create the Thin Frames Snowflake Bonus Card:
Start with a piece of hammermill white cardstock 4″ x 5-1/4″ and use blending brushes to add Distress Oxide Ink in Broken China, Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet over the front.
Next, once the ink is dry, place the piece inside the Filigree Snowflakes embossing Folder and run it through the die cutting machine.
Then, use the inlaid circle die from the new Thin Frames die set, and cut a circle out of the top right side. Cut a second circle with the same die from the Lux Glitter Paper.
Adhere the piece to a top folding A2 sized White card base. Use Bearly Art glue with the fine tip to glue the circle back in, and then glue in the Lux Glitter circle to create the inlay.
Finally, die cut the Eliza Snowflake also from the Lux Glitter paper and glue it inside the circle.
White heat emboss the sentiment from the To You My Favorite stamp set, onto a scrap of black cardstock. Trim and attach with foam squares.
Embellish with some small silver gems.
The new Lux Glitter Paper.
I could go on all day about how pretty this New LUX GLITTER PAPER is. It’s not your regular glitter paper. It has little tiny iridescent circles glued all over it, they are so sparkly, although, as usual, extremely hard to take a photo of, so you will just have to take my word for it. The package released for DieCember has 4 colors in it, champagne, smoke, silver and gold, and they are all stunning.
Now it’s time to hop and visit the rest of today’s design team and check out their great makes.

I like the colors on both of your cards.
I know it’s not a Christmas card, but that first card with the different brightly colored branches is a favorite of mine!! I probably would be lazy and just cut them out of colored cardstock instead of using Copics, but it’s one of those cards that screams, “Happy!” Thanks so much for participating in the Blog Hop 2 for SSS.
Great cards Sandi! I love multiples on a card & you’re right, can never have too many rainbows in our lives! Merry Christmas!
