Simon Says Stamp You Did, Blog Hop and Give Away

Hi card making friends and welcome to Day 2 of the Simon Says Stamp You Did, Blog Hop and Give Away.  We have tons of inspiration for you today on the hop.  I have 3 cards to share with you created with the You Did Stamp and Die set designed by Cathy Zielske for Simon Says Stamp.  This fun set is fabulous for Weddings and Anniversary, or just love in general, with a bit of a tongue in cheek attitude to it – or snarky as some say, haha, and I love it.

GIVE AWAY:  Simon Says Stamp is generously giving away a $25. coupon at each stop along the hop, so don’t forget to leave a comment at each stop as you hop along.

SHOPPING SPECIAL:  Place an order through Simon Says Stamp during the blog hop and receive the Handcrafted with Love Stamp Set for Free.  Please use CODE ART4U when checking out.

Simon Says Stamp You Did

I decided to create clean and simple cards  with the set as I’ve been on a bit of a color rampage of late.  So I’m taking it down a bit today for those of you who like clean and simple.

hand made wedding card with a gold and white heart and a pink heart center created with new card making products from Simon Says Stamp

Simon Says Stamp You Did Card #1

Start by placing a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Hammermill White cardstock inside the Pepperberry Embossing Folder and run it through the die cutting machine

Next, wrap the gold cord around the center three times, angling as you go.  Secure the ends on the back and then attach the card front to a top folding A2 sized card base.

Then, using the Nested Hearts dies, die cut a small white and medium gold heart.  Emboss the white heart with the same embossing folder as the card front.

Finally, on a small piece of white cardstock, Gold heat emboss the heart stamp and the sentiment.  Color with copic markers and then cut out with the coordinating dies.

Copics Used:  RV34, RV17, RV17

Use Foam squares to attach the layers to the card front.

Simon Says Stamp You Did Card 2

Start by stamping the small hearts in a grid across the 4″ x 5-1/4″ white card front in VersaMark Ink.  Cover with gold embossing powder, shake off the excess and heat set.

Next, color the hearts with the RV17 marker

Then, gold emboss the bouquet and sentiment onto a scrap of white cardstock and again, color with the same copic markers and then cut out with the coordinating die.

Finally, use the Circle Thin Frames to cut a circle from an orangy/pink card stock.  Attach to the center of the card with foam squares, then add the bouquet and sentiment.

Create a bow with the gold twine and glue it to the bottom of the bouquet.

Simon Says Stamp You Did – Card #3

Start by cutting a piece of mirror gold cardstock 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and adhering to the front of a top folding A2 sized card base.

Next, use the A2 Thin Frames to cut two smaller layers from white cardstock.  Emboss the larger one with the Pepperberry Embossing Folder and attach to the center of the card.

Then, using a Misti, stamp the sentiment and champagne glasses in VersaMark and gold emboss them.  Use a YR24 copic marker to color in the champagne.

Finally, use foam squares to attach the art piece to the center of the card.

  1. The cards are beautiful Sandi and so cleaver! You certainly know how to put stamp set together! If I only had your talent! Hugs!💜💞💞

  2. Hello, Sandi! I’m rather new to reading your blog-these clean and simple cards are all beautiful. The second with the bouquet on the coral circle is very sweet, and the teal Diamond in the small photo, too. TFS today. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your creations.

Sandi, You are so inspiring! I love clean and simple. I lean toward white space more. But I do love color. All cards are beautiful but I especially think the heart one is stunning. You can’t go wrong with white and gold! Thank you!

  4. Sharon Gullikson

I have never realized that gold embossing goes with fancy images AND casual looking ones. These are great. Gold makes everything even better. NICE

  5. These are all so lovely. My family members have all been married 30-60 years and I love making them feel extra special for having achieved such milestones. This anniversary set will do just that! TFS
