Hi cardmaking friends, happy first day of December and welcome to Spellbinders New Card Kits of the Month. Today I’m playing with Spellbinders Blooming Hearts which is the Large Die of the Month Kit for December and it’s more than fabulous. It has two lovely background leaf dies that when laid together create a heart. Then there are floral overlay dies to cut and layer all the pretty florals. I figure it looks fabulous in any color and I tried a couple of combos. I went for a dramatic look with a black background created with the December Embossing Folder of the Month, Heart Blooms.

This is another die set that would be great for cleaning out your scrap bin of all the little pieces of cardstock. They are also reasonably quick to make. I managed to create both of these in an hour.
How to create the Spellbinders Blooming Hearts Cards:
Start with a 401/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of black card stock embossed with the Hearts and Blooms Embossing Folder (december kit), attached to a top folding A2 sized white card base.
Next, die cut the two leaf dies in Waterfall cardstock
Then Die cut the florals from Teal Topaz, Royal Amethyst and Lilac Blossom card stock.
Finally, use Bearly Art Glue to attach the heart to the card front.
Adding the sentiment for the Spellbinders Blooming Hearts Cards:
Using one of the two word dies in the kit, cut the word Love twice from Mirror Gold cardstock.
Layer together and glue to the center of the heart.
Finally, embellish with the Gold Smooth Essential Sequins.

Thanks so much Margaret
Another spectacular make with gorgeous color selections against that perfect background. You never cease to amaze and delight! Love the way Spellbinders coordinates all their clubs. The embossing folder really looks very chic with this die set.
Thank you Mary, and I agree with you on the Spellbinders Kits, and it makes it so easy to design the cards with them
Both are beautiful! I adore the dark backgrounds, they really make the flowers pop! Love your colours too Sandi. So pretty

hank you my friend, a little something different for sure, haha
Absolutely stunning! I subscribe to Spellbinders large die, small die, and embossing folder of the month clubs. And after seeing some of your ideas using them, I’m thrilled that I do! Your color choices and designs are always so unique!
I have a question for you regarding shopping through your link. I just purchased a few items that way through Spellbinders (needed some of that new brushed cardstock you talked about, plus a few other items) and wasn’t sure how it works. Do I need to keep clicking on rack item from your site in order for you to receive credit for it, or once I enter the site via your blog is all that I purchase credited to you? I want to be sure you get as much credit as possible. I appreciate your help in this regard. Thanks!
thank you Danita, I like to change up my color choices from time to time and try new colors. Trying to give all the cardstock in my studio some love, haha
This darn thing keeps saying I have already posted this so I’m crossing my fingers it works now! Had to delete all the lovely praise on your beautiful cards from this post in order to (hopefully) fool the darn thing. Anywayyy, they are stunning and I love them!! Onto the second part…
