Spellbinders Dancing Octopus Shaker Card

this is so over the top fun.  The Spellbinders Small Die of the Month kit for June, is the Dancy Octopus and Friends.  The interactive die cuts allow for the back set of legs to swing back and forth.  (same with the jelly fish).  I decided to keep my secured as I went off the deep end so to speak and turned the entire thing into the Spellbinders Dancing octopus Shaker Card, LOL.  Yeah, like there wasn’t enough going on with all my Lindy’s magicals colors, haha.

I dragged out all my Lindy’s magical sheets for this one, in all the colors, LOL.  If you don’t have any, you could also cut the images from watercolor paper and watercolor them too.

Want to know more about Lindy’s Magical Papers – I have a couple of videos on my YOUTUBE CHANNEL.

How to create the Spellbinders Dancing Octopus Shaker Card

Start by creating a watercolor background that looks like the ocean.

Next, cut out the layers for the octopus, jelly fish, sign, coral and starfish from Lindy’s Magical papers

Then, layer all the pieces, add some ink blending to define colors etc.  Glue everything down to the background except the octopus and jellyfish.

Making the Shaker:

Create the shaker overlay from a discarded cello bag.  Tape the 3 sides to the back of the card front.

Next, pour in some sequins in ocean colors.  I used Simon Says Stamp Morning Glory Sequins.

Then, seal the top closed and attach the entire thing to a top folding A2 sized white card base.

Finally, adhere the critters.
