Hey card making friends and welcome back. It’s the First of the Month so it’s time for ALL NEW Spellbinders Feb 2023 Clubs. I’m starting off my shares with 3 cards created with the New Clear Stamp and Die Set of the month, Pocket Bunnie.
This is such an adorable stamp set and so very fun to color. I spent yesterday morning coloring and ended up with enough pieces to make 5 cards. Check closely, for a sneak peek at the New 3D Embossing Folder of the Month and the February Embossing Folder.
PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.
So, the card on the left has an embossed background using the Feb 2023 Embossing Folder of the month Hydrangea Bloom. It has a lovely repeating pattern of small flowers and branches.
Next, the card on the right uses the new Feb 2023 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER of the month Club Spring Burst. – Last month the 3D Folder sold out by the 5th. so you want to jump on ordering this one if you want it.
And, I’m hitting you with a new color combo today, Turquoise, Orange, Yellow and Green. I know it’s not the typical Easter pastels, but I’m not a huge pastel fan, so I chose these colors, hope you like them.
PLEASE NOTE: The sign up date for NEW SUBSCRIBERS for the Monthly Kits has been moved to the 6th through to the 27th.
Ok, let’s get on to today’s cards:
Spellbinders Feb 2023 Clubs Card #1
Start with a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Neenah Desert Storm and use the 2nd and 3rd largest of the A2 Thin Frame dies to cut the inlaid piece and the outside border.
Next, glue these two pieces down to a piece of Hammermill White measuring 3-3/4″ x 5.
Then, using the 3rd largest die, cut the inlay piece in white and glue it into the valley created by the two pieces of brown.
Finally, mix some acrylic white paint and splatter the piece.
Then cut another piece of Neenah desert Storm, 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″, and attach it to the front of an A2 sized white top folding card base.
Next, Using a Misti, Stamp the bunny image and the sentiment in the center of the card front using black Ink.
Then, stamp the bunny again on white cardstock using copic friendly black Ink. I used Gina K Amalgam
Color the bunny and florals with Copic Markers or Colored Pencils:
Copic Markers Used:
Bunny: N0, N1, N3, R20 for the pink ears, nose and cheeks.
Yellow Flowers: Y21, Y19 Orange Flowers: YR02, YR07, Greens: YG03, YG17
Fussy cut out the colored bunny and flowers and use foam squares to attach him over the stamped image on the card front.
Spellbinders Feb 2023 Clubs Card #2
Start by cutting a piece of Lagoon cardstock 4 x 5-1/4″. Using the 3rd from largest A2 Thin Frame die, cut out the inlay.
Carefully lay the two pieces inside the Feb/23 Embossing Folder of the month Hydrangea Bloom and run it through the Platinum 6 die cutting machine
Finally, use liquid glue to attach the two pieces to the front of a top folding A2 sized white card base (4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″.
Start by using a Misti to stamp the pocket bunny and sentiment in black ink onto Hammermill white cardstock.
Next, color the bunny with the same color copics as above. The addition is the jean pocket, colored in: BG11, BG72, BG75.
Then, cut out the two pieces with the coordinating dies.
NOTE: I colored a few extra of the swags from Bunny #1. I cut one of them apart for the additional 3 flowers around the sentiment. It just needed a little color at the bottom of the card.
Finally, Use foam squares to attach all the pieces to the card front.
Spellbinders Feb 2023 Clubs Card #3
Start by placing a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Lagoon card stock inside this months 3D Embossing Folder Spring Burst and running it through the Platinum 6 die cutting machine.
Next, using the Misti, stamp the egg bunny and sentiment in black ink onto white cardstock. Use the Copic colors noted above to color the pieces.
NOTE: The bunny on this card is a light brown, colored with Copic Markers: E40, E43, E44
Then, cut apart a couple of the swags from Bunny #1 stamp, and glue them onto each corner of the card front. Flip over and trim from the back before mounting to a top folding A2 sized white card base.
Finally, die cut the egg and sentiment with the coordinating dies and use foam squares to attach to the center of the card.
