Spellbinders Four Petal Bloom Reflections

Hey card making friends and happy Friday.  Today is my last Spellbinders post for the month and I’m creating with the Spellbinders Four Petal Bloom Reflections Die Set.  This again, is part of the new Four Petal Collection Release out this month and it’s quite lovely.  You can use this die set many ways.  As a reflection like I have on today’s card, a single image centered on a card with a sentiment under it, or two turned sideways on a slimline card, are just a few.

I once again created my own background by ink blending Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks onto my 4 x 5-1/4″ card front.  Then I placed it into this month’s Embossing Folder Club, Hydrangea Bloom and ran it through my Platinum 6 before attaching it to a side folding A2 white card base.

My color choices again for today’s card are Waterfall, Teal Topaz, Purple Mist, Lilac Blossom and Rainforest.  I still had these colors out on my workspace so I decided to keep going with them for this second card.

How to create the Spellbinders Four Petal Bloom Reflections Card:

Start by blending Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink onto a 4 x 5-1/2″ white card front.  When dry, attach to a side folding A2 sized card front (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored and folded at 4-1/4″).

Next, cut the main Four Petal Bloom Reflections die twice from Rainforest green cardstock.

Then, cut out all of the floral pieces from the colors noted above. Layer then and attach to the green bases.

Finally, use foam squares behind the larger floral sections to attach both pieces to the card front, leaving space in the center for the sentiment.

Adding the Sentiment:

Then, use the Making Me Smile Sentiments and Polished Brass Foil to Glimmer foil the sentiments.  Cut them apart using the coordinating die, and add a smaller one to the center of the card.

Finish, by embellishing with a few Essentials Gems.
