Spellbinders Large Die of the Month September

Hi there friends and welcome back.  Today I have a new card created with the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month September Kit.  This is an adorable fall themed die set that creates a tractor, a wagon, or a box, a pile of fun fall produce, a couple of signs and florals.  All in one kit.  It’s totally amazing and as you know I LOVE to die cut cards so I had a blast with it.

GIVE AWAY:  I have a fun little give away chance for you at the end of this post.

This die set is an absolute joy to create with.  It was hard to stop at just one card but I was under a time crunch so I had to.  We leave for the Oregon Coast tomorrow and I still haven’t packed, UGGGG. it’s been a busy week of catching up on blog posts and design team commitments, but I did it.  Now it’s time for a little R & R.

How to Create Spellbinders Large Die of the Month September Card:

First, start by die cutting all the pieces to create the box full of veg.  I hit the scrap bin for this card.

Next, use blending brushes to ink the edges:  I used Ripe Persimmon, Frayed Burlap, Fossilized Amber and Mowed Lawn

Then, glue the pieces together.

Creating the background:

Start by placing a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Waterfall cardstock inside the Knock on Wood embossing folder and run it through the Platinum 6 die cutting machine.

Next, attach it to a top folding A2 sized white card base.

Then, use foam squares and glue dots to add the box of veg to the center.

Finally, Embellish with the Happy Fall sign cut from Mirror Gold cardstock and flowers and leaves cut from Lilac Blossom and Rainforest cardstock.

Give Away:

I had such a great response from my little gnome card last week created with this months Clear Stamp and Die Set.  I’m going to give it away.

Super, super giveaway! I love taking the kids and
grandkids to to pumpkin patch to pick pumpkins!

My two daughters and I love to decorate our dining room with fall decorations. We have collected several different colors of pumpkin decor. I love to go out to see the beautiful fall leaves and drink hot pumpkin spiced chai tea.

  3. Hi, Sandi – Love your new Large Die card. It’s spectacularly pretty!
I’d love to have the gnome set, if I am lucky enough to be the winner of your drawing! My favorite fall activity? Probably decorating my front porch and the end of the driveway — a few corn shocks, hay bales and a bunch of mums and gourds and pumpkins usually spruces up the place after all my flowers go.
Hope you have a great day!

  4. Thank you Sandi for the inspiration. Your cards are always so colorful and vibrant. My favorite fall activity is sitting around a fire talking with friends, or new friends!

  5. I am tempted to order this set. Love the tractor! lol the veggies are sure fun too! I love your cute card with them! I don’t have a favorite fall activity because I can’t go outside much until it freezes. Hayfever. Ugh. I guess it has to be staying inside in the air conditioning making cards! 🤷🏻‍♀️🤪😊

  6. What a beautiful Fall card! I love Fall and everything about it! I love going to the Orchards and picking apples, getting the donuts and cider and if they have a corn maze I have to do that too!!! And our daughter is getting ready to deliver our first grandbaby and I know we’re going to have so much fun this Fall…yes,, he already has his obligatory pumpkin costume!!! Enjoy your trip!!!

  7. Love your card made with the fantastic Spellbinders Thankful Tractor Dies! My favorite thing for fall is sitting on the patio with the fire pit burning and hot cocoa in a mug! Happy vacation.

  8. Love the beautiful card. Your color choices are so bright and beautiful. Those dies are a must have. Fall in Florida isn’t very exciting so I like to get in the car, head north and find the changing leaves. Once I find those it’s time to find a little local eatery, sit outside, enjoy the view and cooler temps.
Thanks for a chance on those adorable gnomes!

  9. Oh love the gnomes card, my fav fall thing is to go with my grandkids to the corn maze and farm and tractor ride to select a pumpkin!! always great food and fun together!! also been debating on the large die of the month!! love the items in it especially the corn!!

  10. That waterfall colored cardstock makes it pop! Am loving this new die set, and didn’t even think of making a basket instead of a trailer…. So cute! Fall makes me think of sitting around a fire pit with hot chocolate and blankets and enjoying the crisp air, also a visit to the apple orchard. This year we are taking 2 of our youngest grandsons to the pumpkin patch to have some fun!

  11. Love anything with gnomes. Your card is so cute. What I like about fall is cooler air, leaves turning color and family togetherness 🎃 🍁

  12. I so enjoy your blog posts each time and seeing the beautiful cards you make. I’m in love with the gnome fall card and the new large September card! My favorite fall activity is driving around my rural area in Arkansas and looking at the gorgeous fall colors of the leaves. We have some small mountains brimming with beautiful oranges, yellows, and reds. I’m really blessed by God to live in this area of the country.

  13. Gorgeous Sandi, I love your little box of fall goodness! The woodgrain panel is beautiful too – such a lovely backdrop of texture! Hope you enjoyed your holiday xx

  14. What a pretty card to celebrate the cooling temps! I do love this time of year when the leaves begin changing to lovely colors. Guess my fav thing is eating the scrumptious apples that are available. My parents (ages 88 & 90) still love to visit apple orchards & bring back bags of various apples. The fuji & honeycrisp are sooo good! Thx for the chance to win this very cute set!

  15. Hi Sandi,
You make such beautiful cards. I’ve been a follower since you did Stampin’Up! I love that gnome set and I definitely can make Gnomeroom for it in my collection. Have a great vacation.

  16. Love the fall card you created. I am going to give that set a try and include the tractor on my card. I have lived in the country all my life, so tractors are a common scene! We just got a new (used) fire pit, so I think my new favorite fall activity is going to be sitting by the fire while recovering from back surgery. Can’t wait to see what you make next – you are always so inspiring! Happy Fall!!!
