Spellbinders Stylish Script Collection

Hi card making friends and welcome back. Today I’m sharing three cards for the Spellbinders Stylish Script Collection Release. These beautiful script font plates are for the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System and add the perfect amount of bling to your cards. Fun for everyday, and make FABULOUS wedding and anniversary cards too.

The process started with a watercolor wash on Canson 140# watercolor paper. I used my Waffle Flower Water Media Mat and Hero Arts Liquid Watercolors and made a big ol mess, to create a PILE of these backgrounds.

I “borrowed” this idea from Yana Smakula on some cards she shared a few weeks back as I just loved the look of the gold over the watercolor.

Spellbinders Stylish Script Collection Card #1

Starting with one of the pink watercolor panels I foiled the Hand Drawn Wave over it. Next, I fussy cut around the edge and set it aside. I repeated the wave foiling on the right side of my card front to continue the pattern across the entire front of the card. The Glimmer Hot Foil System from Spellbinders is very easy to use and makes quick work of this step.

I attached the pink panel with white glue to complete the card front.

TO create the sentiment piece, I used the Thank you plate and the circle plate from the Foliage Border Glimmer hot foil set to create the sentiment and attached it with foam tape to pop it up a bit.

Then I chose pieces of watercolor paper in the pink, yellow and green, to foil and die cut them with the Polished Brass Foil. I love how this Foliage Border Glimmer Hot Foil Set and the Organic Foliage set for adding little bits of interest to my cards. And both sets have the foiling plates and the die cutting plates, it really makes creating these pieces a breeze.

Finally, I popped them up with foam tape as well to add further dimension to the card and I embellished with the FSJ Fashion Gold embellishments.

Card #2

This time I used the Twinkle Lights Glimmer Hot Foil Plate to create a gold background on my card front.

Next, I Gold Foiled the “Today! Celebrate You” sentiment from the For You Glimmer Hot Foil Plate Set onto a piece of yellow/green watercolor paper. I used the Nestabilities Essential Squares Etched Dies to die cut the square and angled it onto the card front.

Finally, I foiled and die cut more leaves and flowers to embellish the top and bottom of the square. I added the FSJ Fashion Gold embellishments to the flower centers. They coordinate beautifully with the background.

Card #3

For my final card I used this beautiful sentiment from the “For You” Glimmer Hot Foil Plate Set. Then I surrounded it with one of the Essential Glimmer Rectangles plates to create that beautiful gold dot frame.

To keep this card super clean and simple, I just added a few more foiled flowers and leaves and embellished again with the FSJ Fashion Gold embellishments as the mirror the rectangle frame
