Spellbinders Tulip Border Glimmer

Hey cardmaking friends, hope you are having a great week.  Today’s share is Spellbinders Tulip Border Glimmer.  This is the February 2023 Glimmer of the month club and again, it’s FABULOUS.  It has these beautiful tulips to foil, an outline die if you wish to die cut them for an overlay as I have done today, and two sentiments with a die for them as well.

The glimmer of the month kit is available to sign up for until the 26th of the month, or until it sells out.

Start with a piece of Hammermill white cardstock 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and foil the tulips in Polished Brass Glimmer Foil.

PRO-TIP – I find the Polished Brass Shows up better than the Gold.

Next, use copic markers to color the image.

Green:  YG13, YG17,  Pink:  RV10, RV02, RV14,  Orange:  E11, E93, YR16

Finally, use the co ordinating die to die cut the top away from the art piece.

Putting the Card Together:

Start by cutting a piece of Teal Topaz card stock 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″, place inside the Feb/23 Embossing Folder of the month, Hydrangea Blooms and run through the Platinum 6 die cutting machine.

Next, attach this to a top folding A2 sized card base cut at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″

Then, use foam squares to attach the tulip overlay across the bottom of the card.

Adding the Sentiment:

Start by foiling the sentiment in Polished Brass onto a scrap of white cardstock

Next, die cut it with the coordinating die included in the set.

Finally, attach with foam squares to the top center of the card.

  1. Gorgeous Sandi, I love your blue embossed background. Also great tip about polished brass foil, which I have but haven’t used! Was never sure I liked it, but it looks great on your card.
