Hi card making friends, my shared today is a Stampin Up Love & Affection Sneak Peek……yep, new stamp set coming in the new Annual Catalog on June 1st. I also used the NEW Pop of Pink Designer Paper, and one of the new In-Colors – Emerald Envy (I’m in love)….
Outward appearances, a tunnel card looks very ordinary. You have a card base of 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored and folded at 4-1/4 and I decorated my front with the Love & Affection Flowers and leaves and the new Pop of Pink Designer Paper…..
The flowers are embossed in black and water coloured with Melon Mambo Ink and My Aqua Painter. TIP – the Black embossing powder leaves marks on the white card stock (inside), so I switched to stamping the image in StazOn Black instead…
Inside is where the magic happens….I used the Pop of Pink Designer Paper again, with these cool gold dots to create my tunnel.
How do you create this inside piece you ask?
Oh – here is another sneak peek for you – NEW Sweet & Sassy Heart Framelits…swoon!
Place the inside piece over the outside card base, this will line up where you want to stamp the sentiment for the inside of the card, you can mark it with a pencil, or – if your stamp is small enough, you can stamp right through the frame.
Use Fast Fuse Adhesive on the outside two panels and attach them to either side of the inside of the card base. TIP – move them in about 1/4 of an inch: allows for a nice contrast between designer paper and card base, and pops the tunnel out a little farther.
Sorry I didn’t have time to do a video this week, hope the tutorial is helpful.
Thanks so much for visiting me today, I hope you enjoyed the projects.
