Hi card making friends, after a nice week long break I have a new card to share with you today a Stampin Up Balloon Celebration sneak peek….
I hope you enjoyed your holidays with your family and friends. Up here in Canada, the day after Christmas, Boxing Day is a national holiday and when it lands on a weekend, it gets moved to Monday – so, yippee, a 4 day holiday…..it was lovely to spend the 4 days with Ian, we ate too much, we laughed too much, we slept in, and just relaxed, it was heaven!….
Ok, so now it’s the beginning of the week and time to hop back on it, so here you go
Amidst all the merriment, I had some fun with my Stampin Up Occasions Catalog pre-order, so here is another little peek for you at a new set: Stampin Up Balloon Celebration.
In keeping with the trend of the moment, a softly water coloured background in Pool Party, dotted with clouds stamped in Smokey Slate (stamped off to keep them light and fluffy), and topped with a splattering of stars and Rhinestones.
The stamp set has a 2 step stamping element to parts of it, so the balloons are first stamped in Rich Razzleberry with the solid image stamp, then highlights added with a second stamping of Rich Razzleberry and the “dots” stamp. There is a third layer of an outline stamp that I chose not to use for this card.
Don’t you adore the pretty Designer Paper behind the image – it’s Birthday Bouquet and I thought it was the perfect backdrop for the image I created – also in the new Occasions Catalog.
My Color combo for today’s card, Mint Macaron, Pool Party and Rich Razzleberry, I love that BIG pop of Color don’t you?
- Card Base: Mint Macaron 4-1/4 x 11, Birthday Bouquet DSP – 4 x 5-1/4
- Art Piece: Whisper White 3-1/4 x 4-1/2, Pool Party mat 3-3/8 x 4-5/8
- Balloons: Whisper White 2-1/2 x 4-1/2, punched out with the Coordinating Balloon Bouquet Punch #140609
Thanks so much for visiting me today, I hope you enjoyed the projects.
