Hi card making friends, my shares today are created with the Stampin Up Peaceful Wreath stamp set, and the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set and I have 4 cards to share with you today.
Our team has a monthly challenge in our Private Facebook Group and this month it was anything in “PINK” to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month….it dawned on me yesterday, I had not loaded my card yet, LOL…it’s truly been “one of those months”…..so here is my first card – all in Pink for the Team.
I created a few cards with these pieces, which I’ll share below. The Peaceful Wreath Stamp Set, Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set and the Circle of Spring Stamp set can all be die cut with the Wonderful Wreath Framelits Set, which makes creating these cards a breeze, even the gold bow was cut with the set….
I stamped the image in Basic Black Archival Ink and colored it with my Stampin Write Markers, Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo, Mint Macaron, Wild Wasabi and I shadowed with Crumb Cake.
My “Merry” sentiment was cut using the Christmas Greetings Thinlits.
I added a little snowflake vellum down the right edge from the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum pack (love this paper stack).
For a little texture but not a lot of bulk, I embossed the white background with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder. My final embellishment; a Gold Cording bow.
The mess was out and so was my scrap bin, so I kept going (plus there was a good movie on the teli, LOL)
Next, I stamped the wreath in Mossy Meadow ink onto Old Olive card stock – eliminating me having to color the image. I wrapped the wreath in the Gold Cording Trim – this eliminated the word “merry” across the middle, so I stamped the sentiment on the white background piece instead.
The bow was stamped in Real Red and die cut and my embellishments are gold sequins…
I wanted a little background noise, so I inked up the Hardwood background stamp with a little Smokey Slate ink, stamping it off once, to lighten the image. Don’t know if you can see it, but there is an overlay down the left side an inch wide; a piece of Whisper White card stock embossed with the Boughs & Berries Embossing Folder ( first time I’ve played with it, it’s very pretty).
Next card is very similar to the last, but the little gold foil “merry” sentiment is back, and I have Gold Thread wrapped down the left side of this card.
Last but certainly not least,
I LOVE Crumb Cake and Gold Christmas Cards. This time I used the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set from the Annual catalog (you probably bought it last year).
The wreath is stamped in Crumb cake. The background is more of that awesome Gold Snowflake Vellum (you really do need this paper stack), a slice of gold foil down the right side, and a double Gold Cording Bow, and GOLD SEQUINS…..Ok, Gold overload, but I love it.
Cuts are the same for all 4 Stampin Up Peaceful Wreath cards:
- Card Base: Blushing Bride, Smokey Slate or Crumb Cake 4-1/4 x 11, score and fold at 5-1/2
- Card Front: Whisper White card stock or Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum 3-1/4 x 5-1/4
- Wreath: Whisper White or Old Olive 4 x 4
- Bows: Whisper White and Gold Foil 2 x 2
- Sentiments: Gold Foil 3 x 3-1/2
Thanks so much for visiting me today, I hope you enjoyed the projects.
