Hi card making friends and welcome back. It’s the 6th and that means that the Spellbinders September Clubs are live and you can subscribe. Today I’m sharing 3D Pumpkin Embossing Folder Cards created with this month’s 3D Embossing Folder Club – Pumpkin Patch. This embossing folder has DEEP embossing and I was able to get fabulous results with some Distress Oxide Ink blending on them.
PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.
I’m running with my new favorite pumpkin colors this month, the oranges and pinks. I’m having so much fun with them, mostly because they are a little bit different. What’s your favorite fall color combo?
I’m sharing two ink blending techniques with the same embossing folder today. The first one uses three colors and blends up the card. The other, I blend each pumpkin on it’s own and then use little tiny blending brushes for the flower centers and stems
Products used:
- 3D Embossing Folder Club – September – Pumpkin Patch
- Autumn Scarecrow – Small Die of the Month Club – September
- Autumn Wishes – Clear Stamp and Die Club – September
- Friendly Thanks – Glimmer of the Month – September
- Distress Oxide Inks: Ripe Persimmon, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Gathered Twigs and Spun Sugar
3D Pumpkin Embossing Folder Cards – Card 1
Start with a piece of white cardstock 4″ x 5-1/4″, spritz both sides with water and then emboss with the 3D Pumpkin Patch Embossing Folder.
Next, heat set to dry and then use blending brushes to add Distress Oxide Inks in Ripe Persimmon, Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar.
Next, attach to a top folding A2 sized white card base, 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″
Add a sentiment, gold heat embossed on Pink Sand cardstock using the Autumn Wishes, Clear Stamp and Die Set for December. Cut them out with the coordinating dies and attach them to the center of the card.
Finally, using the Autumn Scarecrow Small Die of the Month Club Kit, die cut the flower and leaves and embellish around the sentiment.
3D Pumpkin Embossing Folder Cards – Card 2
Start with a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of white cardstock, spritz both sides with water and emboss with the 3D Pumpkin Patch Embossing Folder. Heat set to dry.
Using smaller blending brushes, ink blend each pumpkin using Distress Oxide Inks.
Once the piece is completely colored, attach it to a top folding A2 sized white card base.
Next, using the Friendly Thanks Glimmer of the Month Club, Gold Foil the sentiments onto Pink Sand cardstock and cut out with the coordinating die.
Then, attach the sentiment to the center of the card.
Once again, the September Clubs are Amazing and you can subscribe between Sept 6 through 27th.
