Thankful Flowers

Hi stamping friends, hope you’re having a great weekend.  My share today is part of the October Card kit from Simon Says Stamp Thankful Flowers.

The card kit officially rolled out on October 14th. I Love all the beautiful fall colors included in this kit.

Canada Post for some reason has taken to holding my parcels for 10 days in customs.  I FINALLY received my kit on the 19th, and dove right in.   I shared this picture over on my INSTAGRAM account the next morning:

There are always so many amazing products in each of these card kits.  A complete stamp set, dies, patterned paper, specialty papers, card stock and this month, TIM HOLTZ scissors.  yeah!.

Finally, I finished the card so it’s time to share it with you.  I did three so I have a couple more to share later in the week.

My inspiration for today’s card are the bright yellow, brown and purple Mums available right now for our fall decorating.

Colored with Zig watercolor Markers and then cut it out and mounted atop two  pieces of the amazing “My Minds Eye Heritage 6 x 6 pattern paper” that comes in the kit.   I think they are fabulous together, don’t you?

That bold THANKS sentiment is a die also included in the kit and the strip across the middle is a piece of the copper Tim Holtz Ideaology Metallic sheets for a little background bling.

Finally, I added a few sequins from the Sunken Treasure Sequins, the copper and blue ones go perfectly with this card.
