Hi there crafty friends and welcome back. Today’s card making share includes two more cards made with the Stronger Together Stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.
This stamp set is in the March Card Kit and I have really enjoyed creating with it. The floral images are simple and easy to color with any medium and the sentiments are strong and personal.
For today’s cards, I decided to gold heat emboss onto Gina K Turquoise Sea card stock. I used my Misti to position all the stamps at once then stamped and heat embossed. Next I used colored pencils to color in the image and added a few highlights with a Signo White Gel Pen.
I kept the first one very simple, only using two stamps and three pencils. I like to color my images white first, I find you get a truer color when you add the other colors on top. Layering in this manner also makes blending easier.
For the Stronger Together card #2:
I laid out all the floral and leaf stamps in my Misti to create a pretty border at the top of my card with the sentiment at the bottom.
Next, I gold heat embossed and again colored everything white before adding the colors. I went with darker pinks so the flowers would really pop off the colored card stock.
Both of these card fronts are mounted to an A2 Neenah Solar White 110# card base.
The monthly card kits from Simon are by far my favorite thing to receive in the mail each month as you never know what’s inside.
There is always a fabulous selection of products and enough to make a boat load of cards, with an amazing stamp set left over for future creations. The kit is also deeply discounted, to purchase all the products separately would be well over $70. so I always feel like I’m receiving a fabulous deal along with my box full of inspiration.
The sentiments in this particular set really speak to me as a cancer survivor but also as a friend of too many people going through the fight right now.
You can order your kit by clicking the image above, or subscribe to receive the monthly kits here. (You even receive a further discount by subscribing each month).
Once the kits sell out, the products are still available in the Simon Says Stamp store, but at their regular prices.
