Hi cardmaking friends and welcome back. Today I’m sharing 1 stencil 3 cards. It was snowing like crazy yesterday morning so I thought I would create a little indoor spring. I just received this lovely new CROCUS STENCIL from Pretty Pink Posh, and it was time to ink it up.
I love that you can use the entire stencil on a card, or you can mask off individual sections as I did here and create multiple cards.
For Masking, I used Post It Tape. It doesn’t leave a residue and you can reuse it multiple times, so it’s cost effective. It also comes in a variety of widths – I share links to some of these at the end of the post.
This Crocus Stencil is 6 x 6 inches, so even using a single image allows for a good-sized art image and still provides enough white space for a sentiment of your choice.
Life Changing brushes were used to add my Distress Ink in Wilted Violet and Seedless Preserves for the flower and Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles for the leaves.
For some added depth, I added a small amount of Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to each, it makes a great shadow for both these colors.
The SPRING BLESSINGS is also a new word die from Pretty Pink Posh. I like the loopy design of this one and that it’s two separate words, so I can use them individually or together.
On the third card I chose the Hello Friends word dies also from Pretty Pink Posh. The other was a bit large for this particular image.
Finally, On all three of the cards I added a light sprinkle of the Pretty Pink Posh Sugar Plum Mix Jewels. They are by far my favorite embellishments as each one is a sparkly crystal jewel.
