Pinkfresh Studio Just Because

Hi stamping friends welcome back to my card making blog. Today’s share is a new stamp set Pinkfresh Studio Just Because. This beautifully detailed floral image was a must have when it was released by Pinkfresh and I’ve been having a lot of fun creating with it. I’m sharing this post over on the My Sweet Petunia Blog today as well for the Team Tuesday Post.

As you may know, sometimes it’s very hard to get these detailed images to stamp well the first time. By using the Misti, I can securely position my card stock into the platform to ink and stamp as many times as necessary for a crisp dark image. Next, I colored the image with my Copic markers, I’m on a roll with copics this week LOL. Does that happen to you, using the same products over and over for a week or so? Happens to me all the time and coloring is very relaxing for me, so I’m especially happy to color right now.

COPICs Used for the Pinkfresh Studio Just Because card:

Peach: E93, YR02, YR18

Yellow: Y11, Y15, Y19

Green YG11, G24, G28

Once the coloring was complete, I used the coordinating dies to cut out the art piece and three of the “You” die sentiments stacking them for some added depth to the card.

Finally, create the background by White Heat Embossing the Diamond Tiles Background Stamp, also from Pinkfresh onto a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Simon Says Stamp Fog card. Mount this to a top folding A2 card base in Thick White card.

Do you create coordinating envelopes for your cards?

I do when I have time. I leave the stamp in my Misti and place an envelope in to stamp. Then I place a piece of card stock inside the envelope so I can color it with my Copics without it bleeding through to the back. The ink doesn’t blend as well as it does on card stock, but it’s still such a pretty way to present a hand made card.
