Hey crafty friends, welcome back. Today I’m sharing a card created with the Simon Says Stamp Love Birds Die which is part of the DIECEMBER RELEASE. Yep, it’s still December, so I had to squeeze this one in haha.
And, check out my CRAFTY SALES PAGE, there are all kinds of great sales going on this week
This die is so detailed and stunning but, with Christmas and a move pending, I was a little short on time so I decided to do a 10 Minutes to WOW card.
When I have more time, I would love to keep all the pop out pieces to color and pop back in for a more detailed card.
How to create the Simon Says Stamp Love Birds card:
Start by embossing the background with the LUMEN Embossing Folder – also new from Simon Says Stamp. These embossing folders are super thick, so spritz the paper before putting it into the embossing folder for a deeper embossed image without the paper tearing.
Next, once the paper is dry, use blending brushes to add Distress Oxide Inks in Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade.
Use a strong adhesive like Scor Tape to attach the card front to a top folding A2 white card base.
Next, die cut the birds from white cardstock and attach to the bottom left of the card front.
To save even more time, I chose a preprinted sentiment from the CZ Designs Sentiment Strips – Reverse Love. These come on a sheet and you just have to cut them apart, 4 sheets in each package.
Finally, Embellish with a few Smiles Sequins.
