As I said, I have two new cards today featuring the New Window Box Blooms. This is an adorable stamp set with pretty graphics and sentiments making it super versatile. I shared a quick card with you last night using this set and today I’m using a copic coloring technique, that is also super easy .
Your Misti will get a work out with this card. LOL
Details on creating the Simon Says Stamp Window Box Blooms Cards:
Place the small piece of hammermill white card into your Misti and stamp the image in copic friendly black ink.
Color the image and then cut it out. This will be the centerpiece for our cards.
Next, place another 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of hammermill white into your Misti
Line up the stamp to the center and stamp in black ink.
Next, move the card stock down and stamp again, then up and stamp again.
Move the stamp over to the left and repeat the process, offsetting the center image.
and finally, move the stamp to the right and repeat.
Once you have your entire background stamped, use the medium Copic marker from the colors you painted your window box and color in the entire background.
TIP – pick a color you have a refill for as this takes quite a bit of ink. I also found that two coats evened out the streaks.
Putting the card together:
Cut score and fold at A2 Top folding white card base and then use scor tape to attach your art piece to the front of it.
Next, Use a black marker to edge the image you colored and cut out and then use foam squares to attach it over the center image
Final Embellishments:
Only one embellishment used for today’s cards, the Simon Says Stamp SMILES Sequin Mix. The colors are pink, yellow and blue and go perfectly with these color combos.
COPIC MARKERS USED for the Simon Says Stamp Window Box Blooms :
Teal: BG11, BG13, BG49 – BG13 used to color the background of the teal card
Pinks: RV55, RV17, RV19
Greens: YG21, YG23, YG17
Yellows: Y11, Y15, Y17, Y19, YR07

That center flower bunch just really popped. I love the blue colored copic background. Thank you for sharing your art.
thank you Judi,
Love both cards. Such a cute stamp. Anyone who says repetition is boring is crazy. Well done.
thank you Lyn, repetition can be beautiful
I love it when I am surprised by something . I never would have thought to do black and white flower boxes over a brightly colored background. So whimsical and fresh.

Dear Sandy – Well, you’ve convinced me. I’m going to have to get that stamp set! I did not include it as part of this release’s first order, but it’s going into the cart TO – DAY! I love all three of the cards you shared. You’re brilliant in your choices for composition and color.
Always fun to see what you’ve posted!
