Hi crafting friends and welcome back. It’s the 14th so that means it’s time for the FABULOUS Picket Fence Studios August Release. So many fun new products to play with, I didn’t even get to them all, but I’ll work on that over the next month to share with you.
This release is full of Holiday fun with a bit more Halloween thrown in. There are more Slimline dies, and a beautiful selection of new sequins and gems…..don’t forget more paper glaze, love that stuff to death.
I have the entire list of new products linked in thumbnails at the end of this post, just click on them for a larger view and to shop.
First Up: Slimline Our Town Cover Plate Die:
There are two dies in this Slimline Our Town set, the fabulous slimline village, and Santa in the reindeer. I decided to make a coooold winter scene with them both.
I also decided not to make a SLIMLINE CARD. Slimline products can also be used on A2 sized cards, and on Mini Slimline cards.
This entire card is die cut so it’s quick and easy. There is no stamping and no sentiment. You can add one on the inside, but hey, it’s fairly obvious it’s a Christmas card right?
I also used the NEW SPARKLE Paper Glitz on this one. (you NEED this stuff, it’s amazing).
I’m thinking of swinging back and doing a video on this fun (and easy) card, let me know if you are interested in that ok? – just leave a comment at the end of this post.
A Christmas Flower:
Next we have the new A Christmas Flower. This beauty begs to be colored, so I did. In pink Copics.
Next use the Slimline Scallop Framed Dies to cut the gold inlay into the Black Slimline Card Base. I share a video on how to do that here:
Add some white and gold splatter to set off the background and the new 1950’s Christmas Sequin Mix.
Finally, use the Joy to the World Slimline Oversized Die sentiment across the card front. Cut it 3 times and stack it for added definition.
Lots of Christmas Cheer for the Picket Fence Studios August Release:
This adorable Lots of Christmas Cheer stamp and die set is so fun to color. The little critters are pretty adorable
Start by blended the background of Distress Oxide Inks: Twisted Citron, Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Mermaid Lagoon.
Next, add some lime green snowflakes cut with the Winter Snowflakes dies (from a previous release).
Color the little critters with Copics, cut them out with the coordinating dies and add them to the card front.
Finally, Embellish with the new Ocean Breeze Sequin Mix.
Triple Trouble:
Triple Trouble is a fabulous new Halloween stamp set that I just loved creating with. It also has a coordinating die set.
Coloring those huge jack-o-lanterns was so much fun.
Next, create the background by ink blending Distress Oxide Inks through the Center Flower Stencil. Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Seedless Preserves used here.
Use the Misti to stamp the sentiment and bats.
Finally, add him to a brightly colored card base.
That’s it for this time. I have more cards to share in future posts. For now, here are the supplies used and the list of new products from Picket Fence Studios.
Happy Shopping!
