Berries and Leaves Simple Christmas Card

Hi card making friends.  I have a fun post today the Simon Says Stamp Berries and Leaves Simple Christmas Card.  This is a CAS Card (clean and simple), one layer created with the Berries and Leaves stencil from Simon Says Stamp.  I’m excited to be joining my friend Michelle Lupton for her Case me a Christmas Card event that she does every year.  So I picked one of her cards and I cased it, creating my own version from her inspiration.  I share her card at the end of my post.  She also cased one of mine, so click on the link at the end of the post to see which one she picked.  So much fun, LOL

I also went with a non traditional color combo for this card.  SURPRISE!, Not, haha, as you know, I have been playing with new color combos, and I really like this teal and purple combo.

How to create the Berries and Leaves Simple Christmas Card

Start by placing your card front onto a MISTI STICKY MAT and then cover it with the Berries and Leaves Stencil.

Next, use blending brushes to add Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated inks in Tide Pool and Tropic through the leaf portions of the stencil

Then, use a small detailed blending brush to add Amethyst Ink through the dots in the stencil.

Finally, remove the stencil and using a light touch, go over the stenciled part with Tide Pool Ink.

Adding the Sentiment:

Use the Simon Says Stamp JOY word die cutting it three times from Spellbinders Lilac Blossom card stock.

Next, Use the fine tip on the Bearly Art Glue to layer the dies together and then to attach to the card front.

Finally, embellish with Picket Fence Studios Oceans of Green gem mix

Here is Michelle’s card that I cased (photo posted with her permission).  Isn’t it beautiful, I just love the offset.  Now it’s time to visit Michelle’s blog to see which of my cards she cased.
