So many fun new products to play with this month, I had a really hard time decided what to start with, but I eventually settled on the Bunch of Balloons Background Stamp. This stamp is red rubber with a foam backing so you get an amazing stamped image. It’s also 6 x 6 so it lends itself to a variety of different techniques. I decided to watercolor my first one, so here you go.
Simon Says Stamp Be Creative Release Card #1
Start by using a Misti to stamp the Bunch of Balloons image in VersaMark Ink onto watercolor paper.
Next, using Distress Ink reinkers, watercolor in the image and set it aside to dry or dry it with a heat tool.
Then, use the A2 Thin Frame dies to cut down the piece to an A2 sized panel, and the next die down to cut out an inlay.
Finally, glue the two balloon panels to the front of an A2 sized white card base and then inlay the white die cut.
Finish by die cutting the New Sentiment die “You Did” in purple cardstock and a velum shadow and glue to the center of the card. Embellish with Holographic Rainbows Sequins.
I had so much fun, I did a second one, this one uses Salty Ocean, Fossilized Amber and Picked Raspberry. Overlapping balloons made for some fun color mixes, LOL
Simon Says Stamp Be Creative Release Card #2
Card 2 is created with the beautiful NEW You Did Stamp and Die Set. This set is perfect for Weddings and Anniversaries with beautiful images and sentiments. This one will be a staple in your stash for a long time to come.
Start by cutting a piece of Peacock cardstock 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″, placing it inside the Pepper berry Bundles Embossing Folder and running it through the die cutting machine.
Next, Use a Misti to stamp the bouquet image onto a piece of Hammermill cardstock. Color it with Prisma Color Pencils and then cut it out with the co ordinating die set.
Finally, cut two diamonds one in Peacock, the other in Gold Matte cardstock. Layer them and attach to the center of the card with foam squares.
Then, use foam squares again to attach the art piece and a gold embossed sentiment.

These are terrific, Sandi! Love the balloon and the bright, vivid colours!
The third one is simply elegant!
Thank you Sharon, they were super fun to color, LOL
After seeing your cards (especially the first one) I realize I don’t use purple nearly enough!! Gorgeous creations!!
OMG those balloon cards are stunning! What a fabulous stamp and the watercolouring is gorgeous Sandi! I particularly love the second with the overlapping colours. But a great stamp for masculine cards. The third is so pretty and very striking with the embossed background.
Thank you Lisa,
