Hi card making friends and welcome back. I over on the ALEX SYBERIA BLOG TODAY with a NEW CARD MAKING VIDEO for you today using the Alex Syberia Classic Foliage Die Set. I also just received the Lindy’s Magicals, Great White North and Northern Lights magic powder sets so I though I would combine the two for some cards today. With the way the die cutting worked out, I ended up getting a Twofer which is awesome, I love it when that happens don’t you?
You of course could cut this out of plain cardstock if you wished, but I LOVE the magical watercolor effect of these powders, and I really wanted to play with them.
PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.
At the start of this video I used 4 of the new colors of Lindy’s Magicals. Poutine Gold and Loonie Toonie Teal from the Great White North pack. Polite People Purple and Maple Syrup Bronze from the Northern Lights pack. I walk you through doing a sheet of these in each color and how I like to apply the powders. I prefer the wet technique, where the paper is wet first, it helps to hold the powders in place so they don’t go everywhere on your work surface. However, that said, you can also put them down on dry paper and then spritz them.
I cut the leaves out of the card on the left first, and then used the negative piece to create that card. Then I used the die cut pieces as an overlay on the card on the right – TWOFERS!

How to create the Alex Syberia Classic Foliage Die Set Card #1
Start with the watercolor panel created with the Loonie Toonie Teal powders. Cut to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″.
Next, tape down the Classic Foliage Dies and run through the die cutting machine
Then, repeat until you have an even amount of cut outs across the entire panel.
Finally, cut another panel the same size from the Maple Syrup Bronze panel. Add white glue over the entire back of the teal panel and attach it to the Bronze Panel.
Attach the card front to a top folding A2 Sized white card base.
Then, Die cut the Thanks sentiment. Using the sentiments from the Spring Garden stamp set, embossed in gold, add the second sentiment under the first.
Finally, embellish with Flower Clover Sequins from Simon Says Stamp
