Do you have days where you just want to make clean and simple cards? No fuss, no muss? I had one of those the other day while playing with the new Spellbinders Sealed For Summer products. This is a new release this month from Spellbinders with a variety of fabulous florals to glimmer, two beautiful embossing folders, a new wax seal and other die cuts. I used two of the products for today’s cards and did them in two completely different styles.

Another of my New Favorite Things from SPELLBINDERS and this release – these amazing Essential Modern Ovals Dies. They are nested so you can use one to cut out a background, use two to make a frame, use them all to create a rainbow – so many options.

Spellbinders Sealed For Summer Black and Gold Card.

Start by glimmer hot foiling the floral spray in Polished Brass onto black cardstock. Cut out with the coordinating die.

Next, use the Essential Modern Ovals to die cut a background oval from mirror gold cardstock.

Then, cut a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 black card front. Place inside the Floral and Vine 3D Embossing folder and run through the Platinum 6 die cutting machine.

Attach the card front to a top folding White A2 sized card base. Next, attach the gold oval and then the glimmer foiled floral spray. Finish with a foiled sentiment.

Finally, embellish with Color Essential Gems – Gold Mix.

The steps are basically the same except this time foil the floral spray and sentiment on white cardstock and color with copic markers.

Sentiment is from the Make Me Smile Glimmer Sentiments

Pink: RV10, RV11, RV13, Green: YG03, Yellow: Y11, Y13

Next, cut a Pink Sand card front 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 and attach to the front of a top folding A2 sized white card base.

Then, cut a piece of white cardstock 4 x 5-1/4 – Emboss with the Floral and Vine 3D embossing folder before attaching to the card front.

Finally, attach with foam squares to the card front and embellish with Pink Opalescent Color Essential Sequins.
