Simon’s Snow Globe Christmas Card BLOG HOP and GIVEAWAY

Hi card making friends.  I have a super fun event for you today, the Spellbinders Fave 2023 Holiday Products Blog Hop and Giveaway.  We were tasked to pick our favorite products from their entire 2023 Christmas Release and mine is the Simon’s Snow Globe Christmas Card.  I absolutely love this Simon’s Snow Globe series of dies that create 4 different snow globe scenes so I had to give it one more play.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.

Simon's snow globe favorite

I also have a favorite within these 4 kits and it’s the Woodland Scene Simon’s Snow Globes.  The beautiful peaceful scene it creates makes it not just for the holidays but winter birthdays, and other special occasions.

The release also included some very nice embossing folders which make a great addition to your stash.  You can see them used in the 3 cards I share at the end of this post.

How to create the Simon’s Snow Globe Christmas Card:

Start by die cutting the circle and ink blending the sky with Distress Oxide Inks in Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers.  Mix up some white acrylic ink and splatter it to create the snow.

Next, die cut the snowbank and trees from white and cut the Christmas tree from two tones of green and pink balls.  This tree is from the Snowman Scene Kit.

Then, cut the base from mat gold and the sentiment from white or black.  The deer is cut from brown cardstock and ink blended a bit.

Simon’s Snow Globe Christmas Card – Putting it together.

Start by cutting a card front in black cardstock 4″ x 5-1/4″ and emboss it with the Sparkling Snow embossing folder before attaching it to a top folding A2 sized white card base.  4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2.

Next, glue the pieces to the globe.  Snowbank, 2 center white trees, the green tree and then the left side white tree.  Add the deer last.  Layering these pieces helps to add depth to the scene you are creating.  Also glue the gold base to the bottom of the globe.

Finally, use foam squares to attach to the card front.
