You can view the entire SWEETHEART RELEASE here.

This adorable set is so fun to create with.  I combined it with the Hearty Tweed background stencil to create some Bestie Valentine’s Cards.

Simon Says Stamp Bestie Cards – Card #1

Start by using embossing paste through the Hearty Tweed.  Once the paste is dry, using blending brushes to add Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks.  I used Lemonade, Sweets, Surf and Sprout.  The embossing paste acts as a bit of a resist so you get the image of the stencil, with the rainbow background behind it.

Next, Use a Misti to stamp the images in Copic friendly black ink.  Color with Copic Markers and Cut out with the coordinating dies.

COPICS USED:  Gray:  T0, T1, T2, T3, T5, Pinks:  R20, R21, Hat:  Yellow: Y11 and 15, Green: YG21 and 03, Pink:  RV10 and 13, Blue:  BG11, and 13

Then, create a shaker card by adding a cut down cello bag, taped to the back on three sides, fill with your favorite sequins, and seal shut.  use foam squares to attach the images to the front.

Finally, attach to a top folding A2 sized white card base.

Simon Says Stamp Bestie Cards – Card #2

Start by using the Heart Tweed Stencil and SSS Bubblegum, Sweets and Taffy pink ink to create the 4″ x 5-1/4″ ombre background.  Attach it to a top folding white A2 sized card base.

Next, use a Misti and Copic friendly ink to stamp the image and sunglasses.  Color with the same copics as in card #1 and cut out with the coordinating dies.

Then, use the Bestie die and Glitter Magenta card stock to cut out the sentiment and matt it in black.

Finally, use Rhubarb Stickles around the outside of the sunglasses, a white gel pen on the lenses to create the reflection, and then Glossy Accents to make them shine.
