Gina K Foiled Ornamental Fans

Hi card making friends.  I’m back today with a Gina K Foiled Ornamental Fans Card.  I snuck in a little more time with my FUSE MACHINE to create this little goodie.  So, this card front is preprinted Poly Glaze.  Gina K has a line of these Poly Glaze Stencil Mates Foiling Sheets  (Linked below) to use with her Fancy Foils by Therm-o-web.  What that means is they are printed with a special Poly Glaze that the foil sticks to when you heat it up.  For today’s card, I used the outline pack of Gina K poly Glaze Ornamental Fans and Gold Foil  Then you use the coordinating stencil to add your color.  So quick, easy and fun with a fabulous glimmer outline.

To ink my rainbow, I used Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated inks in Bubblegum, Lemonade, Sprout, Surf, and Violet.

How to create the Gina K Foiled Ornamental Fans

Start by choosing a Poly Glaze Stencil Mate Foiling Sheet and which color of Therm-o-web foil you wish to use.

Next, place the foil over the foiling sheet, pretty side up, place both inside the carrier sheet and run it through the warmed-up Fuse Machine on the 3 setting.

Once it’s through the machine, let it cool off for a few minutes before peeling off the foil.

Add the color to your Gina K Foiled Ornamental Fans

Place the coordinating stencil over the foiled piece and use blending brushes to add your colors of choice.  You can do each fan individually, or a rainbow, or any color combo of your choosing.
Next, as the foiling sheets are 6 x 6, you need to trim it down for the card.

PRO-TIP
The nice part about these stencils, you can also use them to create backgrounds for other cards.  I have been having a bit of fun with this one and some Simon Hurley Pastes, LOL

Card cutting instructions:

  • Card Base:  White Hammermill, 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″
  • Black Mat:  4″ x 5-1/4″
  • Art Piece:  3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″

Adding the Sentiment.

I used two of the preprinted sentiments from Simon Says Stamp as I don’t have many Gina K stamp sets (I need to correct that, haha)

Reverse Sassy Birthday, and Reverse Congratulations.

I thought about adding some bling, but decided with the beautiful, foiled outline (which is very hard to see in the pictures), it was enough.
